Can you guys help me find some lace dresses that arent heavily beaded and sparkly?? Thats mainly what I seem to find :/ I love the soft, florally and flowy look of lace, I hate the look of too much sparkle and that plastic look, you know?
I fount a few I really like but theyre out of my price range And cant seem to find them used :/
ones I like are Allure:
And Maggie sottero Catarina:

Mind that these do have some beading on the front, I dont so much mind that, I just dont like the lace embroided all over the body..

I also wanted a lace dress without beading. Here’s the dress I ended up with (Mori Lee 4164):
Watters Wtoo also had a similar dress with no beading. Both were around $900-1000.

Designer Amy Kuschel has tons of lace with no beading. I would check out her stuff.

I had the same problem when I was looking, I did not want ANY “bling”! I tried on an Allure gown that I loved but had beading all over. I tried it on first and loved it except for the beading, so I tried on some others. Then I tried on the Allure again and the saleswoman was like “So, what do you think of it now?” and I was like “Um, I think it still has sparkles all over it!” haha. She tried to convince me to buy it and just have them remove all the beads, but that seemed pretty risky to me, not to mention expensive!
I ended up with a Marisa dress that was very similar to the Allure one, with no beads whatsoever! I love it – I got the 754 (you can google it) but she has several lace ones (some strapless, too). It was around $2K, I got it cheaper thanks to a discount for buying the day I found it. I’ve seen it used online a bit too so I would look around. I’ll also most likely be selling mine after my (September 2012) wedding, so PM me if that interests you at all!
Good luck!! They’re out there. 🙂

This pretty lace mermaid gown from Theia is currently on sale from Nordstrom for under $1000. I love Theia for it’s simple, modern lines (and maybe I’m biased, because I’m a Theia bride), plus their gowns are silk–which is almost impossible to find at this price range.

Marisa makes a ton of beatiful lace gowns with no bling. She doesn’t advertise in magazines though to keep costs down. On her website, you can see pics of real brides in dresses though. I loved a bunch of her dresses in my price range ($1800-$2000) and a few that were a bit more but I could’ve made happen.

I had the same criteria when dress shopping: lace, no beading/sparkles, since they make my blonde hair look flat and dull in comparison.
I bought Allure 8825 and removed the straps to reveal the sweetheart neckline. She was just under $1200 CAD. Also, the lighting does not do justice to the lace here

Here is my lace dress…very delicate and only a flower under the bust. Pretty sure no bling…to be honest, I’ve never really looked that closely.

What’s the price range you want to stay between? Mori Lee and Anjolique have some beautiful lace gowns that aren’t sparkly and that are around or under $1000. Try Mori Lee 1612 and Anjolique A208, A253, A251 and 257.

@Ivorybuttons: Woooow that’s pretty!!! Did it have straps or sleeves?? How much to remove them? I kinda want to make my sleeves more strappy. Depends on how long they are when my dress comes in .

I’ve ordered my dress, but it’s not in yet, so this picture isn’t what the final dress is going to look like.
It originally had straps that I hated, so I tucked those in. That’s why the top might look funny. It’s got a lot of lace, but no beading that I can recall.
