So, I am three and half weeks to my wedding and during fittings I decided I hate, and can not continue with the very exspensive (relatively speaking) dress I had my heart set on… I’m over it. I went to Davids and got a new dress, it will be in next week and I love it! It is the full lace dress with little cap sleeves, low back. I am thinking I would like to wear a veil with it and I found one on etsy that I like alot. It has a lace trim that would fall at the small of my back. So, what are the rules for wearing lace and lace?? Would it be too much? Does the lace need to be very similar or very different? Thanks everyone…these little details shake me up! Ihave no common sense for fashion.

I don’t have an answer for you but I am really interested in the feedback because I’m veil shopping Friday and have an all lace dress!!

i think lace on lace is really pretty! just make sure that the veil/dress are the same color (like ivory on ivory or white on white – don’t mix the colors).

I have an all lace dress with a low back and I found that a veil that hit me in the small of my back looked weird. I also thought that a lace edged veil with my lace dress was too much, but I think it’s really a personal decision.
My veil is an above the shoulder blusher style veil. I love it! I will post a picture of it!The second pic is with a veil that hits me in the small of my back. With my dress, I was not a fan.

As long as the colors of the lace match and are off similar patterns you are good to go! Lace on lace is very pretty

hi! i got a lace dress with an open back and decided to get a veil with lace. the lace isn’t around my face though. it starts at the bottom of the veil and it’s fingertip length. it depends on how formal your wedding is too. I’m not a big fan of puffy tulle so i thought the short lace was the most beautiful for me.

i’m doing lace on lace! i will be wearing my mom’s lace mantilla with my lace overlay dress, so whether it looks good or not, its sentimental and that’s all that matters ๐

I am also doing lace on lace, and then some more lace. I love lace!!!
My gown is covered in lace and I am wearing a lace bolero and lace edged veil with it. The only rules on your day are your rules. The lace on my veil and bolero match exactly with my gown. The only difference is that the lace on the bolero isn’t beaded, but the veil is.
If you want lace on lace, I think you should wear it ๐

My dress is all lace and I am wearing a lace veil. Two different laces.
The point is, there is NO PROBLEM if they match. What lace is your dress? What lace are you considering for your veil?
