I adore lace.. and full-lace dresses looked awesome on me if I do say so myself!! But FH doesn’t like lace… neither does my dad.. in fact every guy I’ve asked has hated lace. Is it a guy thing to hate it?!?! FH associates them with table cloths and curtains, and my best friend commented they looked like old grandma clothes

My almost dress was full lace but I found a different one in the end I loved more Laughing

Toooooootally agree with this. The quality of different lace dresses can vary so much. I’ve tried on some $4k Enzoani dresses where I thought the lace quality was ghastly.

Lace is gorgeous! But not ME. I like it on most brides very much! I have refused to even try one lace gown on however. Its just not me and I also find it itchy….each to their own! I went for pure silk, because like lace, its very light!

I feel like lace is something that is inappropriate to wear in public. Like those cami’s with lace. It looks like you are showing off your underwear….

Lace wedding dresses can be beautiful.  Lace reminds me of intimates (underwear, bras, etc)

You will NEVER see me wear lace in public….

I used to think I hated lace. Everytime a lace dress showed up on weddingbee I closed the window. Now, I ended up with an all lace dress. Now I scour the boards for lace dresses because I think they’re so beautiful.

I love lace, but its ironic because I had never envisioned myself getting married in a lace dress prior to trying on dresses, I don’t even own anything with lace on it, so I had pegged myself as a bride that would go for non-lace looks, princess ballgown, silk, blingy, etc. But as soon as I put on a lace dress, I was hooked! And ended up not liking anything that wasn’t lace during any of my dress appointments after trying on lace dresses, lol. So of course, I ended up buying a lace dress and totally love it. 🙂

I saw that episode of SYTTD – Atl and I agree, that guy was harsh, thinking that you can’t be fashion forward if there’s an ounce of lace on the dress, what a total turnoff.

I absolutely LOATHE lace, but it seems to be just about all there is!! Is this hideousness ever going to go out of fashion??  This image is my dream dress, if only it wasn’t so expensive 🙁

I never liked nor disliked lace dresses but after I saw Kate Middleton’s dress I became a fan!

I cannot wear lace. I actually like it a lot – escpecailly lace backs!! But unfortunately I have dark curly hair and pale skin. My culrs are in ringlet form. This might sound adorable, but I’m one step away from looking like a deranged porcelain doll. Or a Jane Austin character. Neither of whcih are the looks I’m going for. So I went with a super mod satin gown instead.

BUT – I do think lace gowns look fantastic on blondes. I just can’t pull them off.

I like the idea of lace…. But I tried lace dresses on and it just didn’t suit me at all. I felt like I was wearing grandma’s tablecloth.
