Hi Bees,
I’m looking for inspiration on veil choices! I have a lace mermaid gown with a beautiful lace train and I want a cathedral length veil but I’m unsure on how I want it embellished. My mom is making it and she’s an excellent seamstress so anything goes ๐
Show me your lace mermaid gowns with your veil! And while we’re at it, let’s see your shoes too!!

Mine wasn’t cathedral length, but you can just imagine it a little longer ๐ I love the Mantilla style veils with lace gowns

I haven’t purchased my veil yet, but I was thinking about going with a fingertip or cathedral length plain, raw edge veil with my lace dress. I’d love to see more pics, too!

wow those pics are all beautiful! Thanks for posting ๐ I do like the lace mantilla veils as well and was worried it would be too much lace if you combine with a lace dress but it actually looks quite pretty….

I’m going to be wearing a lace fit-and-flare gown but I don’t get it till July and my wedding is in December, so I don’t have a veil yet. In the meantime, I have been shopping online for one…haha! Here’s the one I love:-

It’s a fingertip, double-tier veil…I know you said you’re thinking of a cathedral length veil but I thought you might like the lace edge on this veil! ๐

I have a lace mermaid, and I’m going with a cathedral length, mantilla veil. My mom is making it, so I don’t have pictures yet. But I did a “fitting” with her yesterday. I think a cathedral or even a long veil works when you have a dress without a train.

A lace embellishment/trim similar to that on your dress would be perfect!
If your mom is making the veil you can point her to Britex or HouseFabric.com. They have some of the best French Alencon laces. The one I have am using can be purchased from Britex but I found it slightly cheaper at VogueFabricsStore.
