u might find a difference between designers as well as a difference between materials. obviously satin is heavier and hotter than lace or tulle or organza or chiffon. im not sure about the difference between the lighter materials, but i do know that alot of maggie sotteros and alfred angelos r very heavy and hot regardless of whether its made with lace or satin or feathers or whatever.

im going with lace and chiffon and im getting married in the caribbean where its HOT! my gown is very light, airy, not itchy or chafy. its a mermaid so i dont know if that will trap heat underneath, or what, but it is extremely comfortable. some lace maggies i tried on had me sweating before i could get back to the dressing room.

heya ive chosen mori lee 1606 im getting married in the summer in cyprus so will be hot. the dress is organza i narrowed it down to adorae and this.i went back with my mum on a hot summers day and showesd her both the adorae was amazing and fitted so well  but the satin was sooo heavy and hot. as soon as i put the mori on i felt light and airy. much cooler and so comfy. and my mum agreed i didnt look so weighd down. it looks alot of dress in the pictures but its surprisingly light!x
