Hi this seller said I can purchase this in two separate pieces. I am wondering if I hsould tell her I want the lace piece on an alligator clip or a comb. What do you think? I would take veil off after ceremony and keep lace piece on. Here’s the headpiece and veil:

I personally would prefer a comb. I hate alligator clips because a few strands of hair always seems to get caught in the hinge and it hurts. (That could just be me though.)

Do you usually have to secure a comb with more bobby pins?

Alligator clips always stick out from my head where they hinge. I would do a comb.

@jessyrez: Just wanted to chime in. I make fascinators and pretty much only use combs.
I will be interested to know though- would the designer be using two combs then- one of the netting and a second for the lace applique?
I actually think an alligator comb might be better for just the lace applique – either way you shouldn’t have any issues securing them to your hair.
I always find that inserting the comb against the grain of the hair helps to secure the fascinators- without the need for additional pins.
I think the piece will look beautiful with your hair!
