Hi!

We are dress twins!  I’m very excited because I think Pronovias Fresno ladies are few and far between.  I haven’t gotten married yet, but I’ve included the pictures I have from when I first tried it on.  The sample I tried was also in ivory, so I can’t help you see what the white looks like.  I hope you enjoy seeing them though—I know I’ve done a whole lot of searching google images for more pictures.  I’m wearing a cathedral length mantilla veil that’s in a couple of the pictures, so hopefully that may help you get a better idea of what you’re looking for.

Here’s the dress alone with no crinoline or anything for poof:

Here’s the dress with a crinoline underneath for some more poof, and with the veil:

Here is a picture from the back with the veil:

And finally, I think I’m going to add a little bling to the belt, so here’s the dress with bling:

That’s all I have!  Hope you enjoy it!

By the way, do you know what crinoline you’re going to wear underneath, or basically how much poof you want the dress to have?  As you can probably tell, I’m still trying to figure that out.  Are there any other changes you plan on making to it?  I think I’m going to add cap sleeves to mine, so it will probably be similar to your bolero look.

So excited to have a dress twin to consult with!

@emarieBride:  Hello again! Unfortunately I only tried the dress in ivory. But I am sure it will be amazing in white as well! Good luck with everything!

Thanks for sharing the pictures and websites!  Those brides do look like they are wearing the Fresno–it’s fun to see what other brides do with it.

I didn’t see any white dresses in the store I bought mine in either.  I’m sure it’ll be just as pretty, only matching your veil and bolero.

I’m surprised you’re not wearing a crinoline in your picture, because I don’t think my dress was as poofy as yours when I tried it on with nothing underneath.  But that could be because I wasn’t tall enough for the dress, so it hit the floor, and might have fallen funny.  I’m torn.  I really like flowy dresses, but on the other hand, I feel like the crinoline lets you see more of the lace.

Unfortunately, I don’t know who makes the belt I tried on.  It’s what they happened to have in the store and I didn’t ask.  I can always find out when my dress finally comes in (end of March).  Since the belt had pearls and crystals on it, that’s probably what I’ll do for my jewelry.

I also was worried that a lace mantilla might be too much for a lace dress.  I decided that it was okay though, because the dress itself is pretty simple.  Also, my mom wore a mantilla that was entirely lace, so she thought a mantilla that was just trimmed in lace would be more understated.

The store wrote it down for me as Josefine mantilla #112. I couldn’t find it online, but that’s all the information I have. Hope it helps!

@emarieBride:  I too am wearing a Pronovias Frase dress with a Bolero, but subtracting the sash, and adding a blingy sash for the reception, and a laced beaded cathedral veil from Cosmobella.  It’s beautiful.  What accessories are you wearing?  I bought this Jenny Packham headdress, and don’t know if that’s a bit overboard???

@emarieBride:  Sure… Do you mind sharing photo of your friend in all her ensemble, I am really curious if it looks good all together.  I don’t have all my stuff on together in my photo, which I wish I did, but my dress is currently getting altered, so I have to wait to take any new photos, But here it is again, I apologize as this may be my millionth posting of my outfit.  I am currently working on getting my sash color changed to Ivory.  I had bought my sash before my dress … sigh.. I also bought my headdress before my dress… sigh… Do you think the veil lace too thick?

Hi,

It’s great to hear some people are buying the Fresno dress. I got married last year and tried so many dresses before falling completely in love with the Fresno dress. I had the buttons in the back taken out and a part of the fabric in the train in order to keep only a lace train. I chose a very simple veil with a satin border (reminder of the satin on the belt).

Anyway, congrats on your choice. The dress is really comfortable, I had absolutly no trouble moving, walking and danced all night long with it!!

Enjoy your day ladies!

Valerie
