@jsrt2012:  I’m not sure anyone could call that dress “matronly”!

That is NOT matronly!  And it definitely fits your venue.

I worried about the same thing (the matronly part) and initially ignored all lace dresses while I was shopping and ended up with an allover lace Casablanca…

    GORGEOUS Dress !!

Don’t know how you could describe that as matronly …

Last time I looked “matrons” were far more dowdy, and there sure as heck wasn’t any clevage going on !!!

That dress definitely isnt matronly!  I can see where your coming from tho.  I thought I would like a lace dress, there are so many beautiful dresses but no matter what I felt matronly in them.  Did you try it on??

Not matronly at all!! It is a gorgeous dress, I saw it in person (I didn’t try it on because I don’t have the body to pull it off) but it is even better in person. I am also 25 and I will be wearing a lace gown.

I actually know what you mean. I’m 27 and tried on a few pretty lace dresses but they definitely had an older feel. I’m not really into the vintage trend either, so I didn’t want to go in that direction. Some of the lace ones were really beautiful, but I ended up getting a silk dress with no lace and it is much more “me”.

I should add, I don’t think that dress looks matronly, I’m just talking about lace in general!
