With CL, anything that I can’t shake your hand in person on isn’t going to happen.  I have gotten a few crazy out of the country emails when I have posted a few things on there for sale.  Times have changed little since the “I am a Nigerian Prince trapped out of the country” faxes.

Ive been applying for jobs and getting the: “Oh congratulations we would like to set up an interview with you! Please login to facebook and view our company here!” and the link to login to facebook is usually: http://www.faacebook.com or something. stupid -.-

These are totally the reason that I keep a junk email account.

@Mrs.Darling: I do that too, and it is right up the street so that makes it easy.  If I want to buy a larger piece off of there (which I have done), I make sure it is in an area I know and trust and take Darling Husband and one of his larger friends with me to “carry” it for me and load it in the truck.  I never go with cash, if I buy it, I will run to the ATM and always get a receipt.

I’m not sure if it’s been on the news nationally but here in Ohio there was a job ad on CL for farm work that was mainly to lure men in for robbery and 3 men were murdered. It’s sickening and scary! My Darling Husband would always sell/buy guns on CL but with this recent story I put a stop to it.
