I’d say no straps but it definitely looks like a wedding dress to me! 🤷‍♀️

So I’m chuckling bc I just came from trying on my dress and I think mine is probably 2x more ‘hoed out’ than yours. 😂 The thing is I don’t give a sh*t what other people think. I love it and Fiance will definitely love it. You’re the only one who has to wear the dress. 😊 I think its gorgeous and looks great on you! Not usually a strapless fan but I like no straps.

mrslaljeetobe :  I am so sorry to say this, but the placement of the space without lace below your waist is unfortunate. I would suggest you find an off the rack dress ASAP.

mrslaljeetobe :  At first glance, I thought the dress was sheer, rather than nude, which made me think it was VERY revealing for a wedding gown. Upon closer inspection and noting that you said it was nude I can see now that it isn’t.

I prefer the straps. This is not what I’d consider “traditional” by any means, but if you love it, that’s what matters most.

It’s definitely a sexy dress and not the first thing that comes to mind for a traditional church wedding.  I think the fact that the nude is so close to your skin tone in the pictures that kind of through me.  If it had been ivory or diamond white then i could see more traditional but still sexy.  It’s a lovely dress and flatters your amazing shape.  It looks more bridal without the straps or a lacier strap instead of the thin spaghetti straps.  The important thing is that you love your dress and feel confident in it not your bridesmaids.  Wear it proudly because you look fabulous.

mrslaljeetobe :  I feel terrible saying this but the bottom from looks inappropriate. But test out different lighting for us – maybe try outside and lets see. The satin on the bottom looks like it is see through or something and says “look at my privates”. The straps look nice. I wonder if the seamstress could put a netting material over the bottom tight part to make the non-lace area look less nude. Or maybe she can take lace and cover your entire waist to hip area with lace. They really can do wonders. Or maybe have her put lace on everything head to knee. Is it too late to buy a new gown? Even if you have to get something second hand I think it would be worth it.

I really love it, and I think it was super rude of your Maid/Matron of Honor and sister to say that when you have obviously already purchased it and are 22 days away!! I think the fact that its nude but not see-through makes it sexy and not “hoed out” in the slightest.

I love it both with and without the straps to be honest!

You have an AMAZING body and made a fantastic choice. Don’t let other people make you think twice!

mrslaljeetobe :  I keep looking at the placement..or not… of lace right near your whoha. Its distracting. I’m not a fan.

It looks like you’re naked from the waist down.

The bit around the crotch is particularly odd. The pattern kind of looks like we can see your pubic hair from afar. Or maybe like a giant leaf. Or kinda like you peed your pants.

Sorry to be blunt and harsh but I just want to be honest and if I saw those images that is what I would think.

I like sexy wedding dresses but I would not wear this or recommend you do. You have a great body go find something that won’t have people looking at your privates on your wedding day.

The dress is far from traditional but it looks great on you. I agree it looks better without the straps and I would ask a seamstress about the part with no lace that does draw attention to you private area.

While your sister said it a bit harshly, I can understand her sentiment. The dress looks a lot  like lingerie, and like a PP said, a lot of it has to do with the lace below your waist. I don’t know if it’s doable to add lace at this point. If you LOVE it you should wear it. But if you have doubts I’d look for something off the rack ASAP. Luckily you’re a stunning woman and will look good in loads of dresses.

I have to agree with VictorianChick, unfortunately the design draws attention to your crotch. I hate being negative, but you did ask for honest opinions, and that is mine.

mrslaljeetobe :  To be honest it’s hard to tell without seeing it from a distance

In the original pictures I hadn’t noticed any lace there at all so I doubt this will make much of a difference, I’m sorry.
