I am actually super surprised by all the negative comments, I really like it and I like it better strapless. I think if you originally loved it then that is what matters. As for your sister and Maid/Matron of Honor, they can wear whatever dress they want to on their wedding day. It’s a thumbs up for me.

The front look s much better now, though the back still looks naked  from the waist down.   No  problem of course if that’s what you want, its your wedding .  I’m never quite sure why people want public ‘sexy’ to be the message of their  wedding day , as in “go knock your husbands (and every male guest there) socks off ”  , but that ‘s just  MHO.

You have such an amazing figure you would look good in anything   I should add!

  1. I love that dress. It’s very fashion forward… I can tell it’s inspired by all those Israeli designers that are all over the fashion magazines with sheers, laces and dramatic trains like Berta, Inbal and Galia Lahav.
  2. You have to understand that people on weddingbee HATE HATE HATE with a red hot fiery passion the “sexy” dresses with any sheer. If you put up pictures of yourself in a potato sack painted white, you’ll get a million “you look so gorgeous”  and “you glow” comments. Lol But put up a dress that is remotely, faintly sexy and suddenly your dress is “obscene!”  “I see a bustier seam… it looks like sin” and a million…                                                         In a few years this style dress will have trickled down to the masses. Right now they are mostly designed by high end European and middle eastern designers, which is why they are a shock to American puritan midwestern sensibilities. Not everyone wants to look like a school marm on their wedding day. Not everyone is having a traditional wedding in a church.

Your dress is beautiful and very fashion forward and very much all over the runways.  You particularly have the body for it and are serving that dress. Do not let other people’s hang ups and sensibilities ruin the joy you clearly have in this dress. I can clearly tell by the sassy pictures you took that you love it. Don’t fall for the “oh, with your body you can find something better.” That is someone’s insecurity showing. Don’t let these people tear you down and make their insecurities yours. Go through old post and look at the types of women who get these negative comments. They all have some things on common.

That is from one sister to another.

You look beautiful and you’re going to slay on your wedding day in that dress.

Wow girl you look amazing. I liked the dress before and after the added lace. I didn’t even notice it was outlining your whoha befor someone pointed it out. You have a rocking bod, show it off!

Ambi D :  Thank you for pointing out the dress shaming! I couldn’t agree more.

mrslaljeetobe :  wow you are a magician. Your fix for the front is amazing. Originally I did think it had a public hair shape. Now it looks beautiful, so beautiful.

Also, the back is “sexy” but far more tasteful. In the back it is like you are a gymnast wearing a white leotard. Their dress is decent enough to be on TV on the Olympics. So I think that it passes the test for a non-church wedding.

Very pretty.

It looks fantastic with the lace addition! I also like the back as is, wouldn’t change that!

mrslaljeetobe :  That dress is so pretty and you are rocking it! The no straps look good but it’s a great idea to keep them so you can put them up later for dancing, etc!
The addition of the lace was a good idea, I’m sure the crotch thing wouldn’t have been noticable when you’re moving around but you never know what it would look like in the wedding photos so I’m glad you covered it up – better safe than sorry.
Congrats and enjoy the wedding!!

I like the lace addition in the front. The back is not my style… but you pull it all off well!

With the alterations you’ve made I think your dress is now pretty darn perfect. The back looks gorgeous as is, no need to change anything there. The only thing left to do is rock your incredible dress at your wedding!

It’s unique and you look incredible in it! It does look better with the extra lace.

I don’t think it’s ho-ish at all! Doesn’t everyone watch “Say Yes to the Dress”? There are some boobalicious, completely see through dresses out there. Yours is pretty tame haha.
