  • Wedding: September 2014 - Lodge

Where you from?: Originally from a small Nebraska town, lived there for half my life and then when I was 14 moved to a small town in Iowa.  I still tell people I’m from Nebraska though :).  It’s my first love GO HUSKERS!

How old are you? (only if you want to share): 31

What do you do for a living?: Nurse at a hospital.  I do the scheduling for the patients.  Such as mammograms, CT scans, MRI, Stress Tests, Ultrasounds etc.

Wedding date: September 27, 2014.  Here’s the thing about that, we were supposed to be married in 6 weeks but I lost my job a couple years ago (working at a clinic and the doctor was arrested, long story). So we were struggling with income.  Set a new date Labor Day weekend this year, decided we didn’t want that day so pushed date back again.  Then Fiance mom passed away, sudden heart attack at Fiance surprise 40th birthday party so we postponed again.  We decided to set and keep a date but the venue we love is booked 2 years in advance so we now have to wait until 2014.

What was your favorite toy growing up?: My radio lol.  No lie I’d spend hours and hours in my room from the age of 5 until I was in high school just listening to music.  My friends would always want to do something and I’d say “No lets go listen to music in my room”.  Funny thing is my daughter is 7 and does the same thing!

What is the one confort food that you still eat that reminds you of your childhood? Roast beef, mashed potatos, corn, home-made bread YUMMY.  Or my mom’s home-made chicken noodle soup or home-made beef stew.
