I’m pretty new to the boards, but I’ve seen so much great content that I thought I would ask y’all for some help. I am currently shopping for an engagement ring for my amazing girlfriend. Now, I’ve gone through her pinterest page and I know exactly what style ring she would love (Round/Cushion cut diamond with a cushion halo setting).
But I don’t know what carat size I should go for (her ring size is 6.5), so I would really appreciate it if everyone could post their rings with center stone ctw., color, cut, clarity. Also if you know where your man bought the ring it would be a really big help!

I have a 1.15 carat cushion cut diamond in a halo setting. My finger is a size 4.5. I know you were looking for round, but I thought you could use the size for reference.
ETA: My husband got my ring from HL Gross & Bros, since1910.com. We never went into the store, but did the purchasing online. They are fantastic to deal with and always responded to any questions he had.

My diamond is 1.5 carats and cushion cut. The halo is square with rounded edges. I believe the clarity is VVS1. My fiance got the ring made by a local jeweler in Michigan. I’m between a 4 and 4.5 ring size.

🙂 My favorite ering style! My finger size is 2.25, ering is 1.5 carats, G color, VS2 clarity, triple excellent cut (shown with wedding band). My husband and I selected the diamond and setting from James Allen, and I would highly recommend them!

This was my dream ring my but Future Brother-In-Law beat my fiancé to the punch and proposed to his now fiancée with it.
I personally love cushion cut diamonds and think they have a unique sparkle, but a round diamond in a cushion setting is much more versatile if you feel she may decide she wants to change up the look one day.
This is a pretty popular setting right now, although the diamonds have to be pretty large for the look to work, around 1 ct, so any higher end jewelry store should have some for you to look at
I would say that that I think clarity and color matter less thanks to the halo.
Hopefully this image helps you:

Just got mine this weekend. 2 ct equivalent Amora Gem on a size 5.75 finger. Lauren B Jewelry did the setting. I love the stones on the profile.

That’s a beautiful ring! Thanks for posting it, do you happen to know what cut or clarity your center stone is?

Amazing ring! I’ve been looking at James Allen for loose diamonds as they have a really great selection. I’ve heard mixed reviews on their settings though, have you had any issues with your ering setting?
