Looooove my moissanite from MoCo! No plans to upgrade it, I don’t really care very much about name brand type things or whatnot (my clothes and accessories are basically all from Target and I wear them until they fall apart instead of getting new ones), plus I think it’s simply gorgeous the way it is. 1.5ct on a 5.75 finger, style eng949a. Love love love it ๐Ÿ™‚

We Had it custom made by a jeweler I found on Etsy. I will be getting a diamond. Sooner than later. Moissy is a beautiful gem in its own right but it’s not for me. I’ll rock it until I get a new stone.

Don’t have it yet but we’ve picked out an 8×6 oval that we’re going to have set. I won’t be “upgrading” because we didn’t choose moissanite because of budget reasons. We got the exact same size as the diamond we had picked out before I found out about moissanite. I wouldn’t want anything bigger. We will upgrade the setting at a later date to a custom one that I designed. We originally had hired an Etsy seller (Zhedora) to make it but she did a terrible job and was really nasty  about it, we’re kind of scarred from the nightmare she put us through so we’re going to need some time before trying to get a customer ring again. We will use the same stone in the new setting though, it’s my forever stone.

My fiancé had my ring made by an artisan here in San Francisco.

It’s a forever one near-colorless moissanite center and a Canadian diamond halo/pave shank done in an Edwardian style. This is my absolute dream ring. Fiancé honestly just blew me away with it, and I’m so smitten! I’ll be keeping it for life.

I have a 2 ct. Forever One Colorless moissy, and don’t plan on ever “upgrading”. ๐Ÿ™‚ I stand by my reasons for choosing a moissanite.

I got this from Etsy, the shop has a lot of great reviews that’s why I bought it, but unfortunately I am not satisfied with the setting quality, but the center stone is beautiful! It is a 10×8 oval. Since I paid extra money to upgrade the setting to diamond sidestone, I will just deal with it for a while. Maybe few years later I will re set it.

I love my moissy more than diamonds. I’ve sold my diamond sets because for me I prefer the more ethical choice of moissanite. Aside from that I love moissanite more visually than diamond too, the sparkles and rainbow colours are just amazing. I have worn moissanite for years now and when I see diamonds (let’s say average quality, like your co-worker who got engaged and has a diamond ring worth $3-$5K) I feel very underwhelmed. And I’ve had so many women compare their diamonds to my moissanite and then say how they like mine better. I feel sad for them that they have paid so much and there was another option out there they didn’t know about. Moissanite is virtually unknown here in Australia.

Here’s mine, aka The Precious lol

It’s from The True Gem company, their Nora ring slightly modified, with a custom cut TrueGem Moissanite center and lab diamond melee.

Honestly we could have gone with a diamond this size, but I have zero interest in participating in the mined diamond industry, and feel that the lab ones are still grossly over priced. If the lab ones come down in price, thanks to Debeers and ‘Light Box Jewelry,’ then I might one day switch the center out.. Maybe.. But they’d have to come WAY down cuz I’m pretty happy with my moissy.

Mines from MoCo. I’m pretty newly engaged so I’m posting it all over lol. The center stone is a 1 carat equivalent hearts and arrows forever one colorless. It’s my dream ring and I am absolutely obsessed with it!! I don’t think I’ll ever “upgrade” as I had the option to get a diamond but love these stones more.

avafox :  Hello! I’m from Australia and have been contemplating getting a moissanite anniversary ring. Do you mind if I ask where you purchased your ring from, and what your experience was? I’m a little worried about purchasing such an expensive item online! Thanks in advance!

Still not *officially* engaged yet, but we have the ring. I chose moissanite for reasons. I’ll never “upgrade” and find it kind of rude when people say that. I would only consider a vintage diamond because my mans and my birthdays are in April. Anyway enough of my snark, here it is!
