TONS of cardio in combination with weight bearing exercises.

Boxing, yoga, and pole! I signed up for pole classes on a LivingSocial a few months ago and liked it so much I turned it into a monthly membership, so I’ve been going once a week, gonna start going twice a week. It’s SO much fun, which is great for me because if it’s not fun, workout wise, I won’t do it.  And it’s changed my arms more than boxing and yoga put together.

I’m working out with my Fiance…Ick. He rides his bike about 3 miles to school so I ride and meet him and ride back and then we stop at a football field for push-ups and situps and pullups and dips. It’s been brutal but he’s really good at pissing me off and making me push myself harder

I’m doing the Insanity workouts on top of regular bike riding. I will start running again as soon as I complete the 60 days. I’ll probably stick to 10K distances, though I had lost the most weight when I was running half marathons.

I’m starting with the 30 Day Shred by Jillian Michaels. I don’t have much weight to lose, but it can really change your body composition and that’s what I need.

I was doing 30 Day Shred for a while, but I have shoulder problems and had to stop doing it. Since it’s getting to be springtime here, I figured I’d start jogging again. After a week of jogging, I’d gained 2 kilos and my thighs got so big they had to let the dress out some more. I guess that wasn’t such a good idea. But it’s the only exercise I can do at the moment that doesn’t put a strain on my shoulder, so I’ll probably stick with it.

I am training for a half marathon and then for the bay swim. That means running 5 times a week (for 30+ miles per week) through November, then adding swimming one day a week. I also do body pump twice a week.

I find that building myself as an athlete works better than traditional bridal workouts.
