I’ll likely be doing my own. This is what I’ll be aiming for, just a bit more polished, with lash extensions and possibly a slightly brighter lip. I considered hiring a MUA, but I like my day to day make up and I want to look like my usual self on the day.

If any bees have any opinions or recommendationd, please share. I’m a big girl and I can take it 🙂

Thank you, they’ll hopefully pop a bit more once I have the falsies on. I use Estee Lauder Double Wear with Makeup Forever HD powder buffed in over the top, it’s my daily go to and always does the trick.

I did my own hair and makeup. If I can do it, anyone can! I normally just wear a tinted moisturizer, bronzer and blush so didn’t want to look to mych not like myself on my wedding day. Happy I did my own. Not only was I happy with how it turned out, I also saved a ton of money 🙂

Haha thanks! I swear by “the small things” blog. It’s a hair dresser that breaks down up dos so people with 2 left hands like me can do them! Although I look at pics from the back now and wish I tried to make it a bit more “clean”

yogahhh:  Ohh, I’ll check it out.

I see what you mean, but I think the strands at the front give it a sort of deliberate whimsy/deconstructed look. And let’s be honest who can see the back of their head when they’re doing their hair! You did a great job, I’d have totally guessed it was pro.

I did my own make-up. I prefer a very natural look and figured anyone I paid would overdo it and I wouldn’t feel like myself.

I had a makeup trial that I paid $$$ for.  It was awful.  Ridiculous Eyelashes. …hooker eyes…no moisturizer. .and caked on.  Plus she used a VERY used lipstick on me.  Yuck!

I’m doing my own

rendezvous89:  I think you did a really good job. I would recommend a bit of a contour on your cheek, that with lashes will be very pretty.

dreamr12:  I just did my every day make-up, but was a little heavier on it than I normally do. I also did have lash extensions, so that helped some.

anndck: It was really simple! I used the Naked 1 palette. Virgin all over the lid as a base and in the corners of my eyes. Sin under the eyebrow as a highlight as it has a beautiful shimmer. Then I used Toasted on my lid, and Hustle in the crease and under the outer corner. I tend to use damp brushes with eyeshadow. I find it helps with fall out and lets you pack a bit more on where you need to.

Ms_Bombay:  Thanks! I actually had a pretty heavy contour at the time, but the flash seems to have faded it. You can sort of see the ash brown shadow under the blush. If nothing else, this is what playing about with it before hand is for! It’s a fine line between photo ready and caked in person! 🙂
