I got two bands, they were designed specifically to go with my ring.  But I had the same thought as you did that just the one didn’t look symmetrical to me.  I’m also always partial to MORE bling.  I ended up getting the two, but they were also very reasonable priced when I was able to go to the jewelers trunk show.

I totally understand your desire to have two bands, but maybe you can find two for the price of one.  Might have to do a little compromising.  Or not.  The way I see it… you’ll be wearing these bands for the rest of your life.  Might as well get what you want now!

I’ll be getting two bands!!  We’re purchasing them from robbins bros and they’re about half what most bands cost.. So I’m paying the same amount I would for one! This is what it will look like all sandwiched up! ๐Ÿ™‚

I got 2 wedding bands, but not to make the ring symetrical. My original band is a solid gold custom ring made to sit flush with my e-ring (also custom) in such as way as to not block the diamond. It’s oddly shaped and cannot be worn alone.

My 2nd wedding band is a channel set 1 TCW 3/4 eternity ring that I received from my mom when my dad passed. I wanted something I could wear by itself on days that I work, and my DH doesn’t mind that it’s not ‘from him’. I used to stack all 3 together, but now I think it looks like too much going on for one finger. Most of the time I opt to wear the diamond band with the e-ring.

Here’s a pic of all 3 for reference

I’m getting 2 half eternity bands as my 2 wedding bands.  I felt that my ring needed symmetry. The jeweller had a matching band to my ring but it was too much bling, iit was basically my engagement ring without the centre diamond.  I’ll be getting to wear mine in 2 weeks.

If you can afford it, go for it.

I always planned on doing two bands. DH had my ring custom made, and when it was time to get the wedding band the designer came back with the price for one, and price for two. DH was ready to pull the trigger, and it was me who decided to wait on the second band. I was not anticipating the band to cost as much as it did, so I just felt like the extra cost for a second band wasn’t justified at that moment. I did let DH know that I will be getting the second band soon. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I have two diamond bands, DH and I decided one didn’t look right with my engagement ring. He took great pleasure in the laughter from our families when he loudly announced “with THESE rings, I thee wed.”
