@Cash000:  Why not? I had bobs several times and they were low maintenance. All I ever do is blow-dry my hair and go. I do prefer longer hair on myself because I hate not being able to put it up.

    Go for it!!

Pixie!! I had long, wavy indecisive hair.  For the wedding i acctually grew it till it was almost halfway down my back.  I never wore it down because it never could decide to do anything resembling a put together look and i’m a hair twirler, so i was always messing with it.  So it was always up in a pony or a bun, not doing anything to make me look hip or polished or anything.  So, day after the wedding, i went SHORT! I mean, almost needing the clippers to do the back, short!! It’s been amazing.  I use less shower product, like shampoo and conditioner, the hair is more healthy and pretty.  I get out and it dries so much faster and while i use more products than i ever did, i use less, so it’s not crazy expensive or time consuming.  I can spike it for a punky look, lay it flat for a really classic put together look.  Pin the bangs for a cute look… it’s much mroe versatile than it seems.  Also, easier for working out, walking on windy days… anything.  I love it.  I’d go shorter than you want, if anything, it grows out, so you’re not stuck with it no mater what, and who doesn’t want to do something crazy once in a while!

I can’t tell enough about the shape of your face, but it looks pretty round. If it is round, you have to be really careful with a bob so that it doesn’t make your face rounder. I’d suggest you invest in a really good stylist, at least for the first cut. Then, if you like it take lots of pictures so you can tell a future stylist without as much skill specifically what you need. You should probably have a longer bob with an offset part and a long sideswept bang.

If you’re willing to blow dry and possibly flat iron everyday, then go for it! I love that haircut! I myself have wavy/curly hair, so while I dream of cute short haircuts, they never work for me.

I will probably always vote no on these. I don’t know how short hair would look on you, but my big thing is your hair texture. Mine is similar–wavy, coarse, and difficult. I’ve had short hair before and it’s a PAIN to style correctly because it doesn’t have the weight of the length to keep it in check.

@Cash000:  re: bobs in ponies: Depends on the length. I am a runner and usually rock the bob, so I just put on a sports headband or clip the front bits back. I love not having the hair on my neck. You get used to having the hair down when you run real fast. The first few weeks was weird but now I do’t notice.

@Cash000:  Bobs are great on oval shaped faces, but you can find the right bob for a round or square face. You just have fewer options. A good sytlist will know exactly what to do.
