Picked it because I like the Rose gold and white outline around my pink stone!

MsElle:  that’s so funny..we’ve done exact opposite swaps!  I WANTED a halo on a plain band, they just didn’t suit me as I’d hoped and didn’t go ‘wow’ when I tried them. I ended up with a vintage diamond solitaire with side baguettes. Never would have thought I’d have a solitare but my Fiance suggested I tried a few and I loved them straight away!  It’s funny how things change about isn’t it?!

i still love the halo look on everyone else so I’m loving all these pictures here.

I picked a princess halo for the following reasons:

-I was engaged previously to an ex, and my ring was a 3 stone with side baguettes.  I did not want anything that even looked similar to that ring.

-I don’t care for plain solitaires

-I wanted princess cut or cushion cut, and I liked the halo style.

I didn’t pick out my ring, but I did go with Darling Husband to try quite a few different ones on.  He went back at a later date and picked one out to purchase.  The only thing I don’t care for with my halo is the “border” around it…it seems to hold dirt too easily.  Old pic, but for reference…

I never thought I would get a halo but once I inherited my pear cut center stone and knew I wanted it for my e-ring then I started to look at pictures. The only rings I liked with a pear was ones with halos around them.  Now I couldn’t imagine having any other ring.

I just like the added decoration.  More would be too much for me, less would be too little.

I chose a halo because I like it…it catches my attention! And it’s unique/different, I’m a very simple person witha natural look (I go make-up free and let my hair air dry most of the week) so this is a way for me to always feel a little done up.

People mentioned vintage style, I kind of reminds me of costume jewerly, older..so that is another reason I liked it.

If he had chose a solitaire for me, I’d have loved that too but he asked and took me shopping to see what style I liked because as he said “I’m only ever buying 1 ring”

To have the sparkle that I don’t get from the garnet, and I just fell in love with the Tacori setting and its intricacies !

elephantear:  I chose a halo because I love how it looks, and because I love the extra sparkle! ๐Ÿ™‚ Also I fell in love with an oval shaped diamond, and I think it looked weird as a solitaire haha.

Here’s my ring ๐Ÿ™‚

I just wasn’t crazy about solitaires unless the diamond was huge, it just didn’t do much for me and we couldn’t afford huge. Fiance wanted a solitaire, so we went with a plain shank with a delicate halo, it’s almost the look of a solitaire but just a little extra accent to it. We both love it!

I wanted halo because my emerald cut diamond doesn’t sparkle (it flashes / looks like a prism in light) therefore with my halo I get flashing, prism and sparkling!

I chose halo to accent shape of cushion, help add more finger coverage, and extra bling. Who doesnt want extra bling. ๐Ÿ™‚

If i could do it over again…maybe would do a cathedral setting with pave diamonds on band.
