For those of you who have had weight loss success, how did you do it? Do you have any before and after photos? I lost weight last year before my wedding, and unfortunately I’ve put most of it back on. I’ve done it before and I know what I need to do, it seems that this time around I don’t have as much motivation…ugh. Give me some inspiration!

I’ve lost 62 lbs (well today was cheat day, so with a calzone maybe more like 60 now, ha). I’m 5’6, almost 5’7.
Picture on left was at my highest when I weighed 192. Picture on right is me a few weeks ago. It’s been about a 3 year journey to get to where I am today. I lost the majority of the weight the first year entirely through diet. I got into running and maintained last year, and this year decided to really go for it and finally reach my goal weight of 125-127.
The scale doesn’t seem to want to budge much now so I’m concentrating on lowering my fat percentage and getting stronger. I cut out sugar during Lent and found that really helped. I was diagnosed with a goiter and hypothydroism when I was only 12 so if anyone out there is struggling with thyroid and weight loss just know it is possible to do it! It just might take a little longer!

Okay, here’s the world’s worst before and after, lol! I don’t really have any other pictures at my heaviest. I had lost about 17 lbs in this picture and then lost 2-3 more afterward. I have since intentionally gained a few lbs back because we are TTC and I wanted to have a BMI of 20.
I used IIFYM and MyFitnessPal to track my macros. It was fantastic, and I would do IIFYM again in a heartbeat!

I lost around 40lb between those shots. Went from 77.2kg to 60.7kg, a dress size 16 (UK) to an 8 (UK), and from my first machine weights in the gym to less than a month out from my first powerlifting competition.
I’ve consciously regained some weight (2-3kg or 5-7lb) to add a bit of muscle. I’m competing regularly in powerlifting, squat and deadlift more than twice my bodyweight and bench press more than my bodyweight too.
I still look a lot less “bulky” than I did before I lost weight.
I used MyFitnessPal, IIFYM, FitBit and NerdFitness to help me lose weight. I never gave up ice cream. I was consistent with training, all year round. I lifted three or four times a week. I took up yoga again to keep me mobile. I took up pole dancing too, for fun.
Now I’m training to be a personal trainer. 🙂

A friend of mine is a Beach Body coach and got me interested in some of their programmes. I tried Les Mills Combat last year and love it! I went from 118lbs (im 5 foot dead) to 109lbs. I then went on to do the Les Mills Pump programme along side Combat, and although Ive only lost a couple more pounds, the definition and tone I have now is amazing. My butt looks so good lol.
Here are my results after one round of Combat:
And here are my before, after combat and after pump photos:

I have lost 14 lbs in the last 2 months using a fit bit and weight watchers! I’m really enjoying weight watchers, and the fit bit keeps me accountable. If I dont hit 10000 steps a day, I grt my butt off the couch and go for a walk

At my heaviest I weighed 225lbs and I am 5’7 and lost 65lbs and was 160 for few years and then last year I went from 160lbs to, my lowest of 135lbs. Currently I am 150lbs and have started going to the gym again and tracking my macros hoping to get back down to 135lbs.
I only have 1 picture I can find from when I was close to my heaviest, I was so embarassed I wouldn’t go out in public unless I had to and I wouldn’t let anyone take pictures of me. My wake up call was when my landlord asked if I was pregnant and I told him I was just really fat and he said wow you are very fat! That day I told my close family and friends to stop ignoring the truth and hold me accountable. I lost about 65lbs in a year by eating pretty much the same thing everyday around 1200 cals and working out 4-5 times a week on the treadmill.
Now I work out 5 days a week and use IIFYM and incorporate lots of weights and minimal cardio which I find changes my body composition the most. (This is how I lost 25lbs last year shown in second picture below)

Wow amazing transformation!!! Good job

Great Job you can really notice the difference in your body composition!! Love before and after pics because they really help to show the difference in inches which is what really matters compared to the number on the scale 🙂

What is slimming world? Looks like your getting great results 🙂

I have lost about 15 lbs since the end of January. I put on about that amount in the year prior and had never weighed that much in my life. I found out in the doctor’s office since I didn’t own a scale at the time and hadn’t weighed myself in years. I freaked out, came home and registered for my first marathon. I trained for it for 18 weeks and lost the weight pretty quickly. I just ran the marathon on Sunday. Having a fitness goal (rather than just weightless) really worked for me in terms of motivation.
