@DaneLady:  I LOVE lifting weights! Its part of my training plan, too. I do kickboxing classes about 3-5 days a week, and I do weight training 2-4x a week, and it feels incredible to see my body getting leaner and stronger. Thanks for sharing the article!

I do weights late fall through early spring. The summer I focus on endurance sports I typically do 2-3 endurance races a year. Doing weights 3 days a week in the winter evens out for the lack of multiple longer cardio workouts and lets me rebuild muscle that I tear down in the 3-4 months of heavy training.

@DaneLady:  I’ve started lifting weights too. I like it a lot more than cardio! I am trying to do both.

@DaneLady:  Agreed.  I started lifting weights after age 35 and I am now 49. I am not always the exact weight I want to be (I try to stay within 8 pounds before I take action) but I have had virtually no metabolic slow down when I decide to lose weight. This might be from the muscle mass.

I lift and I love it.  Dieting makes you look better with your clothes on.  Weight training makes you look better naked

I love lifting but I’m taking a break to release some water due to inflammation.

Thinking of taking next week to dirt harder and exercise slightly less to allow for repair before my photos on Sunday.

I LOVE lifting but also love running so I generally try to find a healthy balance.

I love lifting. Mostly because I like being able to lift whatever Darling Husband is lifting. I definitely cannot bench press 315lbs, but damn if I don’t rock the lat pull downs.

I saw this same article! I like lifting weights a lot more than cardio. It’s more fun and I like the way I feel afterwards more as well. Thanks for sharing!

@DaneLady:  Great idea. I have a pool at my school gym but my swimsuit is a 2 piece and that might be tacky for public use, right?
