I love Napa!  You should totally do a bed and breakfast for at least 2 nights.  I also like the Calistoga Inn… (Not sure about Tahoe)

My fiance and I just did that trip this summer! We went to Tahoe for 3 days then drove to Sonoma and stayed there 6 days and took day trips around wine country and the coast. At tahoe, we stayed at an awesome B & B called The Shore House on lake tahoe; please be sure to check out reviews on tripadvisor.com.  Let me know if you have anymore questions!

My fiance and I just spent a day in Napa and decided to go back for our honeymoon in July! We loved it! Not sure if you’ve been to Napa or not but if you plan to spend time in the tasting rooms downtown, be sure to go to the Visitor’s Center! They give you a bunch of coupons (usually two for one tastings) for the tasting rooms! And get cupcakes from Kara’s in the Oxbow Market!

I’ve got no recommendations for Tahoe though, sorry!

Hi! I am getting married in Lake Tahoe in August:)

Are you interested in going to the North or South Shore? All the Casinos are in South Lake, and there are a few on the Nevada side of North Shore as well.

If you go to the North side, look into staying at these places

Sunnyside, The Lodge. Lakeside, really fun restaurant, and fun bar.

http://www.squawcreek.com/  This is a great place to stay because you have a ton of restaurants and bars right there in the Village. Plum Jack Squaw valley is awesome too! Even just for a dinner. You can take the Gondola to High Camp, and use the swimming pool and hot tubs up there. Incredible views!

The River Ranch is a gem! Right on Truckee River. We went last Septamber, and had a BLAST! Free breakfast in the mornigns, and a huge patio you can relax on. It closes for biz after Labor Day, but you can still take wine, drinks, etc out there and enjoy the River rushing by. OUr room looked right over the River! It  was amazing

This is also right in the water. http://www.westshorecafe.com/

I can rep for South Lake Tahoe, I am getting married there in July! Let me know if your looking for more action (the casinos) or more quiet (Camp Richardson).

Also, I used to live in Incline and the Hyatt is beautiful there. It’s on the north shore.
