Depends on the time of year…? The west coast is very nice, unless you want to get away, then I would suggest the U.P…. what about a cute B&B somewhere in the country?

Yesssss, Michigan! The breweries are definitely fun. There’s also some absolutely gorgeous country and places to camp (real camping, not that RV stuff) up north, such as North or South Manitou Islands. Traverse City could be quite romantic with the beautiful bay and handful of wineries!

Yeah, what time of year?  The fiance and I love camping on Lake Michigan, particularly at the beautiful and awesome Hoffmater State Park.  Nice amenities, and you can watch the sunset on the beach, and wait for the stars to come out together.  Very romantic 🙂

LOL!  I love that we both thought about camping immediately!  I agree, RV’s don’t really count.  hehe

Aw! what a bummer! We aren’t having our honeymoon until the summer, so you are in good company 😀

Hmm… there’s the Color Tour, but I don’t know how the leaves will be at that time? For having lived in Michigan nearly all my life, I never actually pay attention to when the leaves start to change. XD

Mr. D and I are also not having our honeymoon until the summer! Even though it is spring break during the week after the wedding for the school district I work for, classes are still going hardcore for me online through Penn State. Not to mention my Grandma and aunts from California are staying for two or three days after the wedding for a visit, so we have to stick around! I’m sure you and Mr. Cannon will have a blast no matter what you decide to do (thought I also vote breweries, those are always awesome!)

I feel your pain.  we’re getting married April 1 and I work in a tax office, so we have to put the honeymoon off for a while (not as long as you all though!)

Mackinac Island would be great for a day or two in a hotel!  Then do some camping!

Traverse City Michigan is beautiful, and is also the Cherry Capital of the world! The cherry blossoms would be BEAUTIFUL that time of year!
