See that isn’t that so neat.
Well too bad just the shade itself is 145, and yes that’s for one shade!! I contacted them to check!
Insane, it’s fabric and an LED light in there.
Love the centerpiece though!
Any ideas on how to DIY that lampshade?

You can get similar vases at http://www.eventswholesale.com/Vases/Trumpet-Vases.htm for a pretty good price. Then get some filler rocks and flowers at Michael’s. The shade is the tricky part. If you changed the shape to square you could probably diy it if you can’t find them to buy. If you’re handy (or Fiance is!) you can cut wooden rods to the proportions you want and assemble it like this…
Then you would need to cover it in an opaque, fire proof fabric – I’m pretty sure “drapery” fabric is fire proof but you could always ask the people at Jo Ann Fabrics. Then you would need to cut a piece of plastic to glue to the bottom of the square so that the led lights have something to rest on. I’d probably use glue dots to keep the led’s in place.
All of this is specualation because I’ve never done it but I hope I helped!

You can make your own similar shades with embroidery hoops from the crafts store. You’d have to figure out a way to attach them to the vase, but I think that would be very doable. I used this tutorial to make a drum shade to hang in my dining room. The one I made was giant, but they sell all different sized embroidery hoops. I had to reinforce my hoops with some wood, but That’s because they were so large. I think on smaller hoops the plexiglass sheets would work awesome on their own.
