I hate djs. I hate their goofy names and their cheesy websites. I am having such a hard time finding a dj who’s name and website aren’t a complete turn off. Does any one have any suggestions? We have a very eclectic taste in music and need to find some one that has alot of variety. I don’t like the knot or wedding wire’s suggestions. I would like some one off he beaten path. I found a photographer on craigslist but I’m not having as much luck with a dj.

@hma812: We’re going with B&B Light and Sound Productions – they’re based in Reading but told me that communting to Lancaster wouldn’t be a problem. Their website is a bit cheesy (Rick Bean, the owner, said they’re in the process of updating it) but they’ve been in business for 25+ years and know what they’re doing. They were also about $500 cheaper than everyone else I asked.
I think they said they had like 70,000 songs to choose from, but if they don’t have one of your choices, they’re willing to download it from iTunes as long as it’s there. Our first dance song isn’t even on iTunes, and we were told we could burn it to a CD and bring that with us instead, so you could essentially use whatever music you wanted.
Not sure if you’re in the area, but there’s a bridal fair at the Lancaster Marriott this Sunday (Jan 27), so you’d be able to talk to a few DJs in person.
