Mr. Tiny wants to get to know my parents better (I want this as well), but, my parents are very limited in speaking English (Mr. Tiny is white). Last time we went out to dinner, my parents really didn’t say anything to him. My mom tried her best to talk to him, but it was very strained on both sides. Thankfully, my brother and I were there to translate and keep him company, but what can I do to make things easier? Mr. Tiny and my dad are going golfing together this Sunday, and I will be with them, but I know it’ll be hard being the mediator. My dad initially did not want me there to begin with, but changed his mind (who knows why). Mr. Tiny is also feeling nervous as well because this is the first time they are going to spend “1-1” time together (even though I will be there to translate). Any tips?
