I didn’t, but I love the idea of them! They would work really well for an evening ceremony, or be very cozy for a fall/winter wedding 🙂  Or even spring or at the beach! Here are some inspiration photos from google :

I think lanterns are a billion times better. They look prettier, cost less, and don’t wither and die.

This is such an awesome idea! You really should do it!

Lanterns would also make much better permanent keepsakes than flowers 🙂

@laceydoilies:  It could be cute, but I probably wouldn’t have the groomsmen carry the lanterns personally. However, I did have ours take this photo hehe :

My 3 bridesmaids carried lanterns instead of bouquets.  We had battery operated candles in them just in case.  I loved loved that we went that route instead of bouquets, and then they could keep the lanterns afterwards.
