I had a laparoscopy on May 28th to confirm endometriosis and I was supposed to ovulate either today or tomorrow. I took an OPK today expecting either an almost positive or a positive and it came back very negative. I’m a little confused. Can or does a laparoscopy totally throw our cycles off or is my cycle just completely out of whack for no reason?

It could for sure throw you off! Stress, Traveling, Illness, etc. can all change when you ovulate. I usually ovulate day 21 but I’ve ovulated randomly on day 16 once and another time on day 26. Watching out for EWCM always helped me. I got pregnant the time I ovulated on day 16, if I hadn’t known about EWCM I very well may have missed the boat thinking I would ovulate for another 5 days.
So yes, just keep testing and BD every 2nd day to cover your bases!

Interesting! I may have ovulated early, I suppose. I’m still teating negative. We can’t TTC right now, though because of my surgery. We may just have to wait a cycle or two before we can try again. Not sure when doctor will say it’s okay. Also learned that any surgery or stress can throw off your cycle. I had no idea. The things I learn lol.
