No advice, just a load of questions! It really depends entirely on your personal preferences for the day

What time of day will the wedding be? What would the lighting be like in different parts? Would you like the pond in the background of photos for the ceremony? The barn? The trees?
Are there any busy highways/roads nearby that might create noise pollution? How far do you want your guests to walk to the ceremony? Where will they park? Are there any areas that are just too uneven for chairs or for you and the bridal party to walk on in heels? Will there be any animals/stock in the area? If so, how will the owner keep them away from the ceremony site beforehand (you don’t want to be walking through cow poo on your wedding day!).
Are there any elevated areas that you might want to stand on? Or would you want to avoid being up the the air? How are you planning to decorate? Will you need to bring in truck fulls of stuff to set up – might it be easier near a road or gate? When you arrive at the venue, how far do you picture yourself walking to reach the aisle? Can cars drive right in so you don’t have to walk across a whole paddock?

I would have the ceremony near the pond. and the reception near the barn!
