    @GiantJelly:  the ring being up so high can make it look larger but also setting it will make it take up more room. I have close to 60% finger coverage so I like larger rings too, I think both look great but Im still voting for the first!

    @GiantJelly:  Hey girl!

    I think the stone looks fine! I just bought the engagement ring for my gf yesterday and she has the same size hands as you do 10-10.5 and it was an 8mm stone, but it was with a halo. I would actually recommend a halo. some halos are over exaggerated by the use of huge diamonds, but if you find a halo that uses smaller diamonds, it can really make the ring pop! but even without the halo the original size stone (first pictured) looked great.

    oh and maybe have the cz set so you can switch it up every now and then…

    also, whats this ring shrinkage i’ve been hearing about?

    @GiantJelly:  I love the look of the 3 carat on you and definitely don’t think it’s too large, but you should go with what you feel is right for you. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Size 10.5 ring finger, center stone is a 1.25ct equiv amora moissy.
    I felt 2ct was way too big on my hand, because of the added width of the halo.

    Consider putting it in a setting that is a little wider and chunky with some bling it in as well. That will balance everything out better.

    @GiantJelly:  It’s the halo. ๐Ÿ™‚ Kind of an optical illusion.
    This set is totally opposite from what I wanted when we started looking! But I fell in love with it, and so did my now hubby. ๐Ÿ™‚

    @GiantJelly:  Your hands are very nice and not weird or huge at all. I wear an 8.5ish and started originally with a 2ct/8mm solitaire. It looked fine, but over time, I started to feel like it was just really too much. I’m now in a just under 1ct solitaire and I like it better. That said, I think the 8mm looks really good on your hand, and that when it’s set for real, it will look even better. I wouldn’t go any bigger, because that leaves you room to upgrade later if you want to. It’s harder to convince yourself to go down, I think. ๐Ÿ˜‰ For reference, here’s my hand in the 2ct, and then with the 1ct.
