Oh no…you asked for it, RING BLING! My mom likes to get me larger pieces, I don’t always like them but here they are: (sorry for giantness)

This is actually one of my deceased grandmother’s amethyst rings, I think it’s 2.5-3cts and I wore it as my stand in engagement ring for a while:

Since I loved this ring, my mother thought I would love a 5.3ct trillion cut amethyst–while I do love the stone, I wish she had put it in a pendant like I had asked, (5cts is just a little too big IMO) but still pretty:

This is Mr. Turtle…Mr. Turtle counts right? He’s cute, and his head/arms/legs move πŸ™‚ he has rhinestones on his shell:

And here is another one of my grandmother’s amethyst rings…I think my mother said it was either 3ct tw or 4ct tw?? I just wish they could size it down a bit more for me πŸ™ a friend gave this to my grandmother, but it was a size 10!! She had it sized down to a 9, and a jeweler was able to take me down to an 8.5 but that is still too big for my 7.5 finger. When I do want to wear it though, I usually just add some thread–works great!

My e-ring is a split shank with a halo around my cushion cut and definitely takes up a good amount of finger space! Center stone is 1.21 cts. and the ring is 1.92 cttw. Sorry for the large pics!

With my wedding band (and now I’m hinting to Fiance that I want a third band to stack for our first anniversary and we’re not even married yet! haha)

@LessIsMoore:  I like your ring!  What is the carat weight of the center stone if you don’t mind indulging me?

You asked for it…  Ring size 4, center stone width of over 15mm!  Not sure if I’ll wear a band or not (or on which hand), but I’ve got my eye on a 2.6mm diamond filigree band that would probably sit under the stone.

Amazing though, how ring shrinkage works… the first day if felt HUGE, and now it just looks like it belongs with my hand πŸ™‚

I feel like a freak of nature because I gave a fairly large five stone ring (center stone 2.5 carats, 3.25 tcw) and a relatively small ring size (4.75-5) and I don’t have much finger coverage. It’s so strange.

My bands are pretty thick! Dainty pave isn’t my thing, but I love me some solid gold. Ring size 4, diamond is a .70 and sapphires are .30 each.
