I’m not from Vegas, but I’m getting married in Vegas.  I’m having a small ceremony with only close family (12 people total).  I’m getting married at the Stratosphere Hotel, at the Chapel in the Clouds.  I’m waiting on a response from one of the restaurants I’ve been eyeing in regards to our reception.

@MASPA I was looking at Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak, & Stone Crab.  But I’m really leaning towards B.B. King’s right now… just b/c they have a no-nonsense menu, a live band, and a dance floor.  That way I would save on a lot.

I’m a local and I’m getting married here in Vegas. My ceremony will be at the Volcano at the Mirage and the reception will be at Stack, also in the Mirage.

@chicbride14:  Ah, yeah, I think their packages start around $1500. You should look into the Chapel of the Flowers. They’re actually really nice and have some pretty affordable packages.

We’re doing Chapel of the Flowers. They had some of the nicest chapels that we’d seen and their packages are very inclusive, GREAT prices. They also have a ‘Live Chat’ for any questions that you might have. Following that we’re going a 3 hour photoshoot down the strip with KK photography and depending on who all goes (right now that list is sort of sketchy lol) possibly a reception at Canaletto in the Venetian.

One thing I learned that alot of people aren’t aware of is when you get married in Las Vegas its legal around the world whereas if you get married lets say mexico its only legal in Mexico because they don’t record there marriages.   thats why everyone from around the world comes to Vegs to get married.  your better off getting married in Vegas so its legal and you don’t have a wait time for the license or blood test but especially a wait period like they do in a lot of states.

I am local and our families were all thrilled with the idea of coming to Las Vegas for the wedding.  We did not want a “Vegas” wedding and had a really lovely time at the Four Seasons.  That way our family got to stay on the strip and have the Sin City experience and we felt like we were away from it 🙂

    @ Morgan.a.cary:

The Venetian beleive it or not has a couple of packages for $1000 and below. The one gondala package I think is $1000 and there is one in the chapels for around $500.

Heres a link to their wedding packages:

I think you have to call an d get them ot e-mail you all of the packages though. Not all are listed on their site.

I got married at the Wynn. Wowza. Very expensive. It was still the best day of my life and well worth it!
