I think it really depends on what you are interested in doing, and how much you’re looking to spend on a hotel.  If I had an unlimited budget, I’d stay at the Wynn or Bellagio.  When I go to Vegas, I pretty much go to gamble, lay by the pool, drink, and go clubbing.  But Vegas also offers shows, sightseeing along the Strip, and day trips to the Grand Canyon and such.

I would follow some of the hotels you like on FB and maybe sign up for a mailing list or two. You get some really awesome deals that way. For example, we’ve gotten 50% off Cirque tickets in an email campaign and like 40% off room rates (to MGM/Mirage/TI, not like the super cheap hotels) that way.

We did a Vegas minimoon after our wedding! We stayed at the Aria, it was awesome (and I highly recommend visiting the pastry/dessert shop on the casino level even if you don’t stay there!). The adult (18+) Cirque show at New York, New York called Zumanity was very honeymoon appropriate 😉 – it was topless and a really good show.

Basically, tell everyone it’s your honeymoon and they shower you with stuff. We got lots of free drinks, our room was upgraded for free, a few free desserts at restaurants…things like that.

@Miss Grape:  We are planning ours right now. Can’t decide if we want to stay on the strip or Fremont. We will be there during Halloween so there will be lots of parties, and even a parade 🙂

Definitely hit up the clubs! XS and Tao are my favorites (My gfs and I saw Ne-Yo there). Watch some shows, hit up the buffets…

Stay at Wynn/Encore or Venetian/Palazzo

Splurge on dinner at one of the fancy restaurants

Go to the spa

Vegas is so naturally sexy and romantic if you go to the right places!

We are honeymooning in vegas!!! so excited. it will be my 2nd time there and his 1st! we are staying at Treasure Island. i stated there the last time and it was pretty nice!

I hope we get extras for it being our “honeymoon”! but we got a pretty good deal. i booked it like in march or april. 2 round trip tickets 6 nights and two free buffet passes for 900 and some change. i also got the insurance on the trip for like a extra 150 i think!

We will be getting the day passes to visit different things for one price! its like a prepaid card that gives you access to different shows, etc. we will go to grand canyon too!

So excited!

@trbickham00:  We are planning a Vegas honeymoon too, and it will be both of ours first time. Where can we get this day pass to get us into different things at one price? Totally interested!

Love love love Vegas. Stay in the wynn or venetian, go to see zumanity show. Eat drink and be merry. Take a helicopter tour to the grand canyon and just join in the fun and mayhem.

I love the Flamingo, but mostly because the pool is amazing, not so much because it’s romantic (although it is where Fiance popped the question!). It’s also priced extremely well and has a great location.

If money wasn’t an object and I was going there for our Honeymoon, I’d stay at the Venitian. It’s just…beautiful, and I’ve always dreamed of having the money to have a shopping spree in that place. Sigh.

Also, check out the half off ticket counters at the beginning of your trip so you can see what shows are on sale while you’re there. I haven’t been to a Cirque show yet (sad face), but I did see Phantom last year and it was amazing.

we went for 7 days,we stayed at the stratosphere at the advice of one of his friends- we got a nice suite & lets just say it was cheaper then the other hotels but me and Fiance have decided next time we are staying at The Mirage or somewhere else. We saw 3 shows- Cirque du Soleil KA, Mystere, and then Phantom of the Opera. I recommend all of them 🙂 Have fun!!
