Las Vegas elopement locations are everywhere! All the major hotels have nice locations… I like the outdoor garden chapel at Caesars palace and the chapel in Bellagio that overlooks the fountains. All of the ceremony locations include flowers, cake, a champagne toast and even witnesses if it is just the two of you! Most popular picture locations: Lake Las Vegas, the Neon Boneyard, Fremont street, Red Rock Canyon and some of the dessert scapes In the area. It is difficult to do a photo shoot on the strip bc they do not allow camera equipment to be set-up.

In St. George, Utah, about two hours north east of LV, there is a BREATHTAKING venue called Entrada!

I’m pretty sure I remember reading that Nottoway Plantation (outside of Nola) had an elopement type package.

They do allow outside photography, and many photographers in the area promote full-day packages that will include a free engagement session. The big issue is if the wedding venue is one of the large casinos on the strip, because they can be strict about camera set-ups outside of the chapel areas. Any pictures outside of the chapel will most likely require a handheld camera, which I imagine comes with it’s own issues. However, there are a lot of off-strip locations available in LV. Lake Las Vegas is probably the most popular right now.

I’ve seen a few elopements at our venue when I was doing research last year. It’s a rooftop garden in midtown and perfect for really intimate weddings because of its size. While it gets rather pricey when you use the loft space, I think the garden itself isn’t too bad?

@labrador:  I know! That is so crazy cause my photographers tried to blame part of it on me as well… I was like umm… you guys have known about this for a year and a half! How do you just not show up?! Yes, luckily I have the best sister ever and she is a pretty good photog πŸ™‚ Your business sounds so cool! I want to hear more about it πŸ™‚ PM if you need more recommendations for New Orleans, I basically know about every venue there ever haha. I’m there all the time too, it really is a great destination wedding location!

@labrador:  The only approved vendor I used was one of the six caterers (all excellent) on that list and we got a venue discount because I booked directly through them. I was allowed to use any photographer I wanted. πŸ™‚ I do see their updated “approved vendors” list but most of my vendors aren’t on there. I think those are more suggested than anything.

@natbug21:  OMG!!! Checking out your recap now…

Oh! How about the Highline? I think it’s even free if you have less than 10 people, though you might need a permit. We had our engagement session there in the fall and it was breathtaking.
