My Fiance and I are planning on eloping to Las Vegas in June of next year (we live in NY and doing all of the planning long distance). We don’t want to spend too much, but all of the packages seem very expensive for what you get! We want the glamour of Las Vegas, like Caesar’s Palace or the Bellagio, but unfortunately, places like these are out of our price range. At the moment, Chapel of the Flowers is my top pick, since it seems like you get a lot for what you pay. I have read, however, that COF is very expensive when it comes to photos, so I guess I would get a private photographer for a B&G photoshoot after the ceremony. If anyone has gotten married at COF and wants to share her experience with them or can point me to recaps of other Bees that have gotten married at COF, I would be very grateful! I was wondering if any of my fellow Las Vegas brides know of any elegant and glamorous places on or near the strip that are budget friendly?
These are the things that I would really like to have are:
-photos of the ceremony and prints included in the package (or CD w/ copyrights)
-flowers for me and my Fiance
-DVD/video of the ceremony
-courtesy limo to and from hotel (if not on the strip, or not…it would be really nice to have a limo either way 😉 )
I also would love to hear suggestions for photographers and hair & MUA in Las Vegas. I’m finding that they are about $150 for updo and regular makeup (not airbrush). Is this about what I will find everywhere? Also, is paying extra for airbrush worth it? I found Bently & Wilson Photography here on the Bee, and I am very impressed, but I would love suggestions!
Sorry for the longwinded post, I am JUST starting the planning process and I have no idea where to start! Any and all advice about planning a Destination Wedding for two would be greatly appreciated!

Have you thought about doing a wedding in a suite? That way you have full control over vendors and can contract a photographer and get them to do the whole thing.
A popular hotel for insuite weddings is the Mandalay Bay and the Vista suites but there are quite a few hotels with suites that allow it. Plus it also takes care of your accommodation. A popular caterer for these are materpiece cuisine.
I got married in Vegas and we used Bentley & Wilson photographers who I highly recommend.
If it is just the two of you why not do soemthing different. I have heard of couples getting married at the Belligio Fountain (on the sidewalk side rather than the hotel side). Apparently if it is small (so no or very few guests) you wont even be noticed.
or you could do something out in the desert. There a re quite a few companies that offer these sort of packages.
I agree that hair and make up costs are high. I used Francesca from Bobbypin beuaty and was really happy with the service. But it did cost about $160 but I actually don;t think that is too bad since they come to you.

@j_jaye: Thank you so much!
I lovelovelove the Bellagio fountain idea!!! I am definitely putting that idea at the top of my list! Do you know if the Bellagio has any charge for having the ceremony there, or how it works getting married on the Bellagio property? 🙂
Thanks for letting me know about Bobbypin Beauty, I will check them out!

@MissA_to_MrsA: They do have a package for weddings by the fountains (on one of their terraces) but I believe they are expensive. I have heard of couples just doing it on the side walk side therefore it is free of charge. You run the risk of having strangers around but if you time it right you could minimise that.
I got married in a public place in vegas and didn’t notice any strangers until I got some of my wedding photos back and there were people in them I didn;t know (just a few shots). At the end of the day if they got some joy out of watching two strangers get married then I can’t be mad 🙂

Hi, we are getting married at Bellagio fountains too in 10 days! 🙂
We haven’t booked a package of any chapels, only looked for a single officiant, who is coming to the fountains to celebrate our wedding. We also hired a professional photographer, because our families won’t be there and the good quality photos are very important to us.
I hope I can post some pictures of our Bellagio fountain wedding here in two weeks! 🙂
