therefore :  I am unsure of the different types that can be used so I can’t say.

I have a family friend who was badly burned by a laser technican and is forever scarred. When I began my laser journey I only wanted to go to a medical facility and not a spa place. I am paying way more, but it’s worth it. I am doing my bikini and underarms. Bikini was done in about 6 sessions and I had fantastic results. I do maintenance 2x annually on this now. I started my underarms only recently and am 3 sessions deep and it’s taking forever for me to see a difference. Different areas respond in different ways I suppose.

The clinic I go to refuses to laser me in the summer months when I am tanned. They also wait 8 weeks between sessions. As a result, I start in October and can have 4 sessions to take me until April when I call it quits until the fall.

I am very happy that I decided to do laser hair removal instead of painful waxing. I bought 6 sessions for each: brazillian and lower leg. I have fairy skin and they did test area to see how I react to laser. I was fine. So far I did 3 sessions on each area out of 6 and I barely have any growth on my legs and still some in bikini area. Really happy with the results and whatever is not used I will apply towards underarms.

elizabee17 :  same for me – the place where I go has a licensed laser technician and they refuse to do laser when skin is tanned ( that’s why I have a summer break) and I have appointments every 8 weeks.

I got 8 on my pubic hair, 6 on my underarms.  Both have grown back more or less 100%… it started growing back after 2 years or so and steadily the number of hairs has increased until now (8 yrs later?) it looks more or less normal.

There was a deal on for 10 sessions so that was what I got. I did underarm and Brazilian and it’s up there as one of the best decisions in my life! No more skin irritation from shaving! But I have jet black hair and medium skin so it worked for me; it might not be compatible for people with pale hair colour or very dark skin.

I noticed hair falling out almost immediately after the first session. I didn’t need more underarm touchups after the 10, but still need to do Brazilian every now and then, probably because it’s a more hormonal area. The few hairs that do grow back are super fine, so shaving those off doesn’t bother me at all. I’m sure after pregnancy I’ll have to redo all of it again, but the few years of zero skin irritation? SO WORTH IT!
