Has anyone had laser hair removal??
I’ve had 3 sessions on my face done and frankly, I see extremely little regrowth. Today, the clinic I go to told me I would need 6 more sessions. I’m pretty satisfied with the results I have now, but wouldn’t mind making sure it’s permanent.
Am I being scammed? I just don’t understand why I would need 6 more sessions when I already see such a big difference!!

hmmmm im not sure… i just had my first session on my underarms a week ago and i have 5 sessions left. they told me that after 6 sessions most people see anywhere from 85-95% of the hair gone permanently. id wait a few weeks… let the growth cycle do its thing and then go from there 🙂

My best friend had her legs/under arms lazered and the hair came back although it never all went away to begin with. Why don’t you ask a doctor you don’t want to waste all your money just to have the hair return later but I have heard that too much lazer is not good for you either.

I didn’t do the face, but did armpits, legs and bikini… The hair loss is most dramatic in the first sessions; however it’s still better to get all your sessions done since your hair doesn’t all grow back at the same pace and it’s to ensure to catch all of them.
I have to say, some will grow back eventually for sure though… After 5 years, I tweeze some hair on my armpits, the results were best on my legs (which incidently I couldn’t get all the treatments) but I still have to check / shave some areas; and for the bikini, well I wax it now. I went to another place (I knew my first tech and her husband outside of laser treatments was wasn’t comfortable asking her to play in my lady areas); and it didn’t work as well. It did soften the hair enough and eliminate enough of it that waxing is a breeze now though.

The first 3-4 times is when you’ll notice the biggest difference but I don’t think the hair is ever permanently gone, overtime it grows back. But it’s still worth it because it grows back slower and less. You will have to go in for touch ups though. I’d just stop and play it by ear. Once you notice the hair starting to grow back quicker again, go in for a touchup or two.
