I did a part-time job at an aesthetic clinic once and I was assisting during the laser lipo process. I think some patients who didn’t maintain themselves after the operation didn’t see significant results. In fact, I think most reported that they didn’t see results. A lady who did see some results, accompanied the treatment by also wearing body shapewear and massaging her body. If you can do some exercise, all the better. I don’t think laser lipo is as effective as traditional liposuction…but it’s definitely much much less damaging.

@Rachel631:  I got a group on deal too. I had my consultation yesterday and stay next Thursday. I was instructed to wear Spanx for 8 hours a day and take a supplement they gave me.

@Rachel631:  Wow! Were the lasers focused only at your waist? I am planning on hitting the thighs if they make me pick one spot (I have seen pictures where they go from waist to thigh, though)

I have thought about doing this as a treat for myself after I lose most of the weight. I weight 158 right now which is down from 176 (yay!) and maybe if I can get down to 130 and maintain there, if I’m still unhappy with the way my body looks, then I think I want to do this. So your body processes the fat on its own? This sounds very intriguing…

@ChuckNorris:  Supposedly the laser tears open the fat cells and the fat leaks out and is carried away by the lymphatic system, filtered out by the kidneys, and urinated out. Given my background in biology and medicine, I am a bit skeptical (and wondering what other damage the lasers might do), but my desperation must be stronger lol because I’m doing it anyway! Even when I am down to 17% body fat and my ribs are sticking out, my thighs are desperately clinging to every ounce of fat.

I’ll keep you guys updated.

@Rachel631:

How much was it for? I’d love to try it, so sick of pulling out hairs!
