@jjmomma: You mean they sat halfway up your eyelid?

I didn’t even know something like that existed!

I prefer individual rather than the strips

I totally agree with jimomma’s post. I did a test run one month ago, and had the same issues. I felt like when I would try to brush them out (which I often did because they can get tangled), the starting point had this bump that made it weird brush and apply mascara to. When I curled them, I felt like I was snapping the fibers off at that starting point.

I like the overall look, but not worth the $150 I paid (and that’s on the low end) for the hassle of glamming it up. They only lasted me 4 weeks tops.

@tsoulsby:  I got a groupon for it and I loved my results.  Close to the lash base etc.  I thought 4 weeks was kinda the expiration on them anyway.

I always knew I’d wear the individual false lashes, since I started wearing false eyelashes for special occaions I can’t go back. When done well, they are natural, light as air and just so fluttery! Love them. Last for ages if you look after them- and no need for mascara!

I got lash extensions put on about 3 weeks ago for my works annual dinner because I wanted that extra bit of glam and I don’t have very many natural lashes… They seemed OK to start with, but not as good a false lashes. Now that they’re growing out (they’re attached to my real lashes) they’re stuck halfway out and are all at crazy angles.. I HATE THEM, and because of the strong glue used, I can’t just pull them out, and worst still- they are actually taking most of my real lashes with them when they do come off! So I’m going to end up with none. Not worth the drama.

Im doing a strip of false lashes for my wedding…I like the way they look…I being a hairstylist know how the extensions are put on both lash and hair….I would want them on! There more work to up keep then the strip or individual lashes. Yeah you have to put them on again and again but at least they will look good each time you put them on and not like the extension ones that grow out in a few weeks and look like crap!

I had extensions, but they were glued to my original lash, so they weren’t above my real lashes and there was no gap. However, I did end up pulling them out, as they irritated my eyelids and I woke up one morning on my honeymoon with a swollen eyelid from itching them in my sleep. Meh…

Ditto!  the Extensions are such a rip-off! Stay away from the light, Carol Ann!   I just looked like i was wearing mascara!  I ended up putting false lashes (the strips) above my extensions (the individual ones).

I did extensions and loved them.  Had no problems with them.  It was a sweet gift from a friend who does them for a living.
