This Thursday is our last ‘dating’ anniversary. We’ll have been together for four years. By this time next year, we’ll have been married for almost 6 months.
We are going away Thursday night after work for a quick getaway, coming home late Friday to be with the family for Easter. As a gift, I’m giving him a jar of all the reasons I love him.
Although I’m thrilled to be marrying the love of my life, it makes me a little nostalgic that this is the last one.
Did you do anything special for your last anniversary?

That’s wonderful – enjoy! Believe me, if it’s important to you now, it will still be important to you. And 6 months apart sounds like a perfect opportunity to celebrate your love for each other twice a year!

We got engaged one month before our dating anniversary, and are getting married in Sept so it’s already passed. Fiance was out of town for the anniversary, but it was coincidentally the day I went dress shopping and bought my dress. I can actually say I bought my wedding dress on our 12 year dating anniversary. 🙂

Ours will be about a month before we tie the knot. I doubt we’ll do anything too special since we’ll be getting ready for the wedding and FI’s birthday is thrown in there as well.

I was the same way about ours, which was last month. We went out and made a day and night of it.

Ours will fall 12 days before the wedding. Can’t say that we will do anything spectacular. However, New Years (all of 19 days before the wedding) has a lot of meaning for us, so I can see us just making a special night of it at home.

Our nearest anniversary was three days after we got married, but I think we spent our previous anniversary searching for a wedding photographer!

We will be getting married on our 8th anniversary. But we never really do much for anniversaries.

Our last one was about six months before the wedding. We decided not to do anything for it because it was in the year we were getting married.

@smiles4jo: That’s very sweet!
We will be celebrating our 5 year dating anniversary on our honeymoon. We’re getting married on June 2nd, but our anniversary has always been June 11th.

Thanks everyone for your input!
Like I said, we went away Thursday evening after work for some ‘us’ time. Turns out that Fiance got sick almost as soon as we got there. He was a trooper and really tried to make it fun, but I could tell he wasn’t himself. At least our last anniversary was memorable! lol
This just sounds like a great excuse to sneak away again when Fiance is feeling better 😉

Our last dating anniversary was last November. Unfortunately (to put it mildly) my mom died the day before…. so basically there wasn’t anything to celebrate. Although since we’re getting married this September it does mean we won’t need to celebrate that anniversary anymore. I could see wanting to under normal circumstances, but knowing it will forever be the anniversary of my mom’s death changes things quite a bit.
