We are meeting with our reception venue tonight to go over last minute confirmation and details. I’ll also request one more meeting before the wedding but what questions should I ask that maybe I’m forgetting?
So far I have:
- Confirm start, end times (now that we have adjusted our bar times)
- Confirm set up times
- Confirm if venue can set up centerpieces
- Confirm menu
- Confirm approximate timing of courses
- Verify who is the “lead” that night
- When can we bring additional decor to the venue to drop off?
- Are there any things the DJ needs to be aware of?

At my last meeting we talked about the table set up, the clean up, i had a designate a gift person, who specifically to tip, and a Plan B in case of rain. We also had to decide where the cake and DJ would be in the room.

Make sure to ask who does breakdown and cleanup and when? Where will everything be left and how long do you have to remove it?
Make sure you ask them what they usually do for the times between courses and if you are able to adjust them once started. I actually had ours sped up since they were far too long in between and people were hungry!
Do another walk through of the event space to see where they set up card table, cake and any other extra tables and why. We had a candy buffet, but they set up a huge half round table that was far too big for what we expected, but it was too late to have it taken down and moved. Find out when they need the tables numbered and seating chart and who sets it up…guest book and placecards table too…
