It sucks to waste money, but can you get it all taken out and restored to how it was? Then just have a little bit of gauze added to the triangle below where the lace petals are reaching out into the neckline. Would that be sufficient for your family? Or just change into the sexy one after dinner in time for dancing, and they can leave at that point if they’re really so bothered?

browneyedgirl007 :  linked would be fabulous!! TBH, that tailor SUCKS!! They didn’t even do a good job- what horrible work. I hate that you’re being guilted into changing something you so clearly felt amazing in. Not cool on your family’s part. I think this will all work out, however, and you’ll have a fabulous option regardless!

I’m so glad your dress wasn’t ruined!  Looks great!  I think it looks fine, your nipples are covered, and you don’t look like your going to fall out.  😊

nonablu :  .   A small piece of nude fabric of some sort could be sewn in to close the gap a little more, in order to keep the peace with family members at your reception.  Good luck!

I’m so happy that you were able to fix the dress and get the look you wanted. A million times better!

Edited: I didn’t realize this was an older post. I’m really glad you did what you did with the dress, Bee! Looks great!

I will leave the part about being upset at my mother if she were to act like the modesty police. 😉
