Does this happen to everyone? Our wedding is on Saturday, and we have had two people cancel since yesterday, plus a few others who changed their minds after our date. Hello?!?! RSVPs were due two and a half weeks ago! I am so frustrated!

Yup, it happens. Some of mine had good reasons (a miscarriage a few days before our wedding) and some didn’t (just didn’t feel like going out that night). It was frustrating at the time but now that I’m a few months past my wedding it’s just a distant memory of a slight annoyance and hassle. Just try not to focus on the money that you’re out, the messed up seating chart, etc. Ultimately it doesn’t matter and your wedding will be just fine without them there.

I just feel more and more like a crazy person with every “update” email I send to our venue coordinator 😉

Oh, I’m sure they’ve seen this a million times before. Totally normal. Annoying, but normal. You’ll be fine!

I’m dreading this! Our RSVPs are due tomorrow and we’re still waiting on 70 (yes, I said 70…out of 142!). I can only imagine people canceling at the last minute or simply not showing up. I know it’s something you can’t avoid, and apart from an emergency (which I completely understand), I just think it’s rude.

Yes, we had a family of four cancel the day after numbers were due. Luckily our venue took the four off for me. A week before another of his uncles cancel, someone wanted to bring their gf so it worked out. But then we had two no shows one legit he ended up having to have back surgery and then my cousins husband who probably didn’t wanna leave work was ‘sick’. Only really upset at the cousin because they’re pretty crappy people as is and no matter the holiday or event give the worlds worse gifts yet expect us to bend over backwards and shower their brat with gifts.
