I keep having nightmares that I will forget some detail of the wedding that I just did not get done before the wedding. What are some things you left til the last minute/forgot about for your weddings or almost weddings?

@Adriana.Niva:I have been having these nightmares too!! I hope lots of ladies respond because I’ve definitely been thinking about this!

@Running Elley:Good to know I’m not alone. My wedding is almost 3 months away and I am terrified there are a bunch of things I am over-looking! Let’s hope we get some help! Haha.

I forgot to order a cake topper (just did it this week), forgot to finalize the grooms cake (just did it this week) and I’m still putting off making place cards and programs.
one thing I really didn’t think about is transportation for the bridal party. think about how everyone will get to the ceremony at the same/right time and how they will all arrive at the reception site at the same/right time. the devil is in the details!

I was very worried about forgetting something, but I didn’t. Not one thing. I was extremely organized, I checked all the lists of what I needed to do and have, and I had all of my wedding things in one area so we just had to put them in the car and go.
If you do forget something, life will go on! As long as you have the officiant, your fi, and a marriage license, you’ll be fine.

@eliwhit:Oh God, good call. I think I will compile everyone’s answers in a little memo for myself. >< My favors are going to be very last minute because its a cookbook with people from the wedding’s favorite recipes. But um… who knows when they will send those suckers in, ya know? Augh… T_T
@artbee: ^_^ I know it wont be too big of a deal if I do forget something. But I’d hate for the responsibilty to fall on someone else I forgot something semi-important lol. Good to know some people’s wedding’s go off without a hitch. All the checklists I have found don’t add the little details. That’s what I need.
The devil is indeed in the details.

i forgot a birdcage ( or anything) to put the envelopes in. Luckily my DOC knew someone who had a beautiful one, and went to pick it up that morning.

I was SO paranoid about forgetting something.
Honestly, what I did was keep a list. I carried around a notebook with me at all times and anything I thought of that needed to be done, I wrote it down. When the list was crossed off, everything was done!
I am a super forgetful person and I ended up not forgetting anything.

i forgot to shave my legs :p
i packed an overnight bag for my moms house and forgot my razor. which was fine because Darling Husband and I litereally got in bed, ripped open our envelopes and went to sleep the night of the wedding – we had an EARLY EARLY flight.

I’m making my own dress, and had a dream the other night when it was my wedding day, and I had forgotten to make it!! The photographer arrived at the hotel room, so I said I’d just go and put my dress on, and then thought ‘Oh my God, I didn’t make it!’. I think thats one thing I will remember to do, might forget something else though!!

@flamingred:I do have a birdcage turns out, though… no DOC 🙁 lol
@zippylef:That’s what I keep trying to do, too! And I send emails to myself. ><
@totheislnds:That would be something I would do >< Haha my sister is ‘treating’ us to a wax a week before the wedding… eee…
@mrsgrassby2b:Awww… haha oh no… That’s what my dreams are like… like I’ll be in the bridal room and the music starts that cues the bridal party but my hair and makeup aren’t done. >< Haha.

Keeping everything together in one place will help! Make an “emergency kit” with clean nail polish, bobbie pins, needle/thread, pain reliever. Remember any smallish adornments-hair flower/veil, sash, jewelry-including wedding rings 🙂

@creativeplannertobee:Oh God. I would be the one who forgot the ring or something haha >< thank you!

My best friend just got married and forgot her veil and hairpeice at the hotel (1 1/2 hours away). Luckily mom hadn’t left yet and got the hotel clerk to let her in and search for it.

We totally forgot to bring our table numbers to the venue. We didn’t realize until well after the wedding when we found them in our apartment. Luckily the venue had some numbers of their own to use!
