It was a weird episode. I mean, I was somewhat pleased that it didn’t work out with Booth and whatsherface “I was hoping we would have more time before we got here”. Did she plan on it being just a temporary deal since she apparantly “knew” he was the marrying time?

Not only did I want to hit the lady in the jewelry store, I wanted to hit Booth for proposing!

I saw that and immediately thought that it had to be discussed on WB, lol.

@bind9449: THIS! Omg. I was so irritated when he decided to propose to Hannah. I was like NO. Don’t you get it? You can’t do that. I said so! :p Go marry Bones!

And jewelry store lady? Omg. She was ridiculous. I hope people don’t start believing that that’s true! Besides…it’s in the bottom of a lake/pond/thing now anyways right? Total waste of…however much money he spent.

also: isn’t Sweets at least 25 or 26 by now? he’s not that young, why do they keep acting like he’s still 22 (the age he was when he started the show)?

i’m so happy though that booth and hannah are done.  good riddance.

i can’t believe booth threw the ring in that pond. such a waste.

@AmeliaBedelia: That would be the National reflecting pool- so it’s very shallow and someone would fish it out in a few days, I’m sure.

I *think* I saw him toying with the ring at Founding Fathers right before I was suuuure he was going to propose to Bones. Maybe he just threw the box in the reflecting pool?

@whiteorchid: I think it’s because he is so “young” in comparison to Bone and Booth and what not. He does have a young face so that’s working against him. I certainly can’t throw stones since I’m marrying younger than he would be in the show.

@GreenEyedMoon: Yeah he was being an angry sexy man. 😉

@Knubbsy-Wubbsy: Oh I didn’t notice if he had it? All I know is he chunked something and I went “ohhh my.” haha.

How old is Sweets’ character supposed to be? Old enough to be a psychologist…so he’s got to be at least 24+ right?

Honestly, though, while I think that the jewelry lady is stupid, in the end I think it had the opposite message of “the bigger the better”…. I mean, Booth bought the bigger ring and got shot down, so clearly the bigger ring wasn’t worth it.

Yeah I was irked with the lady in the store, but even more irked that he threw the ring and or box in the reflecting pool.  I was thinking dude, you’re gonna regret that.  It looked like it was about a 10,000 dollar ring.  Also I was hoping at the end that him and bones would get wasted together and hook up and then end up together… no such luck though.  I agree that the whole episode seemed skewed by the writers perspective on marriage.

Booth proposing only means it’ll take longer for him and Brennan to get together!  UGH!  This show is killing me!  (it’s my favorite show  btw:)

I also have the same size Engagement Ring as the “tiny” one.  Really not that tiny at all, just simple and classic silly writer people!

@AmeliaBedelia: They said during his first trial scene that he was a Rhodes scholar fairly young and earned his degrees quickly and young. I would say now that he’s ~24 (fits with Daisy being an Anthro grad/postgrad Intern). The actor was born in ’85 so that’s right about same age (not that Hollywood follows that but it’s a general aid).
