I like the cloud dress and the old dress, with a slight preference for the flowy softness of the old dress. However, the tulle at the bottom of the cloud dress is to die for; if it had a sweetheart neckline, I would be 100% on that.

Really dislike the “new” dress. I think the high neckline is just strange.

    Thanks for the UPDATE

I have an artsy background… so an eye trained to good design if you will (flow, lines, angles, etc)

Your new pics are great… but they don’t really change my opinion… as to the “cut of the dress” that makes your body look best, it is still # 2 (the way the fabric lays over your boobs, waist & hips).

You can photoshop on and off whatever details you want… the cut is what is making the difference

(So I can take away the high neck in # 2, and add the pouffier bottom, or add sleeves, or remove a belt etc in my head… I am visual that way)

The top on # 3 (on you) does nothing for you.  The bottom is however GORGEOUS.

Dress # 1 is a close second to # 2.  Without the belt is better than with.  And the sleeves you drawn in… not necessary (actually a bit distracting) I’d only add them if you have a reason to.

As I said in my OP it comes down truly to WHAT YOU FEEL BEST IN… but Look is important too.  You can obviously work with Dress # 1 to improve it (ditching the belt for example)

If Dress # 1 is the one that makes YOU the happiest, then that is what you should go with.

    Hope this helps,

@patchy:  Here’s my immediate reaction to dress #2: It looks like a subtle reference to traditional Chinese dress.

There is the high, tight neckline, much like a Mandarin collar coupled with no sleeves.

There is the patch of embroidered or applique (can’t tell which)  satin in the skirt which reminds me of traditional moon gates embroidery.

If you are of Chinese descent, that’s brilliant. If not, well–sorry, Chinese is my interpretation of this dress.

@patchy:  I love the old picture. For a bigger dress compared to the other two it doesn’t swamp you, but highlights a good shape.

@patchy:  i love the “old” dress! I have a thing for “ethereal” looking gowns, and that dress fits the bill 🙂

Both Old and Cloud look amazing! I think if you get Cloud, either remove the waistband or take it lower – to your nautral waistline. I like it without the cap sleeves too.

I really like both dresses #1 (cloud) and #3 (old) on you. I’m not as big of a fan of #2 (new). It’s nice too but something about it just doesn’t seem right.

I love the cloud dress! It is so classy and elegant!

Ilike the cap sleeves without the waist band idea.. The dress looks even better!

I don’t think lace cap sleeves…maybe a lace bolero or neck piece for the cloud dress…gorgeous!!!

I voted cloud. OP, you said you feel more special in that dress. I think the cloud is ‘the one’.
