Our last wedding was a destination wedding on the beach in Thailand. I wore a Camilla silk kaftan 🙂 it was super hot and the Kaftan was great – so comfortable and cool and I could eat to my hearts desire without worrying about tummy in tight dress hehe 🙂

The last wedding I went to was a backyard wedding a couple weeks ago so I wore a pink dress:

It was an outdoor ceremony on farmland, and the reception was in the same area. I wore a knee length white with black and yellow flowers retro styled summer dress with a black cardigan.

Sadly, I felt over dressed. Most of the guests were wearing regular street clothes (jeans, tshirts, flip flops) and I had done my hair and “dressed up” for it.

I’m in the middle of a year of weddings, so I have plenty to show!

This one I actually wore to a wedding reception in April for a colleague. It’s from Asos and I bought it from their Tall range (even though I am fairly average height) because it was in the sale and the regular one was not. Quick hemming job and good to go!

I wore this one to a wedding in Germany in May. I made it using the By Hand London Elisalex sewing pattern. I modified the neckline slightly, shortened the length and added pockets and the scalloped hem.

This one is a knockoff of a D&G dress I bought from a Chinese website. I flipping love it, but I did have to buy an XL and let the shoulder seams out a bit. Awkward. I wore this one to an evening reception for some friends who got married in the Seychelles.

This is another By Hand London pattern – Georgia this time. I made it in stretchy fabric so I didn’t even have to include a zip. Please excuse the creasing – I wore it this Saturday to a barn wedding and have just this minute taken it out of my suitcase.

Three more weddings to go this year and one of them is mine! Eek!

sochic:  Thanks guys! It was the first wedding we went to after ours. I wore a ballgown on my wedding day, so I figured a mermaid dress for this wedding was more than fitting haha.

I  Wore this to my friends wedding 3 weeks ago. It’s Virgos lounge Millie dress . I love the beading and detail on it, it goes into a V at the back with beading on the back too.

I wore this with nude wedges to an informal outdoor wedding at a farm in April.

The last 3 weddings I attended I was a bridesmaid, but the one before that was just over a year ago and I wore a chiffon high-low dress from Forever 21 with lace insets.

so may gorgeous dresses! love it!! i personally think sometimes finding a dress to wear as a guest can be so hard… either it’s too short/tight/cheap for a wedding (too “clubby”) or it’s too fancy for what i need or it’s just more than i want to spend.

last wedding i went to was was a sunday late afternoon wedding at a really nice place so i went with the tried & true LBD with some fun shoes & lots of blingy jewlery…  (it was also like 10000 degrees where i live and this dress is pretty light thin fabric) & of course, i topped my outfit off with some arm candy in the form of my hunky FI
