@cmvmph:  We are still undecided. Possibly Hawaii or Greece. Anywhere sounds nice! How is your planning going?

My planning is going well. I am a very detail oriented person and I am finding that I am having the most fun with all the minor, tiny little details.  I was even told by my venue’s coordinator that I could be a wedding planner how organized and ready I am. That felt really good to hear

Planning is going well πŸ™‚ Checking things off the list, one by one. I’m also having fun with the smallest details. And I finally made the executive decision to wear flats for the whole wedding (instead of heels for ceremony, then change for the reception). My mom was a little upset, but my sister and I managed to put out that fire lol.

I wish I was as calm as you ladies. My planning is driving me slightly insane. I think as soon as I get my cake baker booked and my invitations sent out I can actually relax and enjoy the little details you gals are mentioning. ***SIGHHHH****

Ughhhh… We just bought a house a couple months ago and I have my venue booked and dress + accessories, and our wedding bands.

I’m a teacher and I’m not starting to REALLY plan until the end of this month when school’s out.  I’m not looking forward to it.  I really want a destination wedding :::arms crossed/pouting:::

Umm, yeah… I’m nowhere near a far along with planning as most of you are. I ordered one dress about 3 weeks ago but I’ve changed my mind and am now looking for a replacement. Fiance is working 3 jobs (80 hour/week), my assistant is on maternity leave and its our busy season so work is stressful for both of us.

We have our venue picked out but haven’t signed the contract yet. Still have not finalized the guest list (50 or less), but I do have the centerpieces figured out (stacked vintage books, terra-cotta pots with succulents and white flowers, and votives). No clue about the caterer, photographer, or cake (pie? cupcakes? ice cream sundaes?) Flowers are being handled by a good friend’s sister who is amazingly talented (SOOO glad I don’t have to worry about that; I trust her completely). I’m trying not to freak out because my fiance already has too much on his plate and I don’t want to add to it. Its really hard trying to get him involved (and I know he would like to have a say) without over-involving or overwhelming him.

My older sister/BFF lives on the opposite coast and she’s been ridiculously supportive. Also, a close girlfriend has been super helpful and encouraging. I’m grateful for my awesome friends and family; I just wish things would start falling into place so I don’t feel like I’m going to have a panic attack any minute. The amount of unknowns and undecideds are really bothering the control-freak in me.

Sorry for the rant. Its been a long day.

Not so calm. I started a new job in January and there is this huge event I’m planning as well – not to mention the event is five days after the wedding, so that will make for an awesome honeymoon. Plus I’ve spent over 8 hours on hair and makeup trials between trying to make it work with one guy, firing him, and using a service that is pretty pricey but still doubting if I feel comfortable in the look I have. Just all the details are starting to pick at me, for both the wedding and my job.

I am so lucky that my friends and family have been so supportive, as I feel I’ve had my going off the deep end moments recently! I’m so ready for the wedding just to get here and enjoy it! Just over two weeks….

I’m joining in since I’m not early or late 20s…just hanging out in the middle.

Our planning is going ok so far. The wedding is still pretty far out, but we my have found our venue[!!!]. I have my dress/shoes, and I’m working on saving things for the centerpieces. We’ve hit a couple bumps already, but they seem to be under control for the moment.

As far as life in general, we’re trying to potty train our daughter, and I think it would be easier to pull my own teeth. Other than that, I’m good! Haha!

It’s still early days for us, but next week I’m flying back home and have appointments with bridal boutiques, venues, and ministers filling up my calendar! We live in the UK but getting married in my hometown in New Jersey, so I have a short window to book everything. So assuming by the end of this month I have my venue, church, and dress all sorted out, then I need to decide if I’m going to get a planner to help me considering how far away I am from where it’s all happening.

I’ve been loving all the planning, but the demands on my time have def. been causing some stress. I work two crappy part time jobs, (double shifts on weekends), and of course suddenly both my parents and the future in-laws want to meet on wekends, cause thats typically when they have off. So Ive made the executive decision to quit my second job. It seems a little intense to leave partly because of a wedding that is happening 3 months from now, but honestly I just couldnt juggle it anymore and hopefully it will motivate me to start looking for one GOOD full time job once I return from the honeymon!!

I’ve just started planning and between the beginnings of that, running my own business, taking care of my house that I own and other assorted tiny chaoses that arrise every day I say the planning is doing alright. So far we picked a date and colors and I think we almost got into an argument over bridesmaids and groomsmen because I would only want 2 bridesmaids and he has 9 million bros from college and his frat all who have to be groomsmen.

……9 million might be an exageration.
