@worriedconfusedbride:  I would maybe just plan on ordering Pizza, then you can order for how many people are there and not have to worry about anything being a waste. My cousin did this and it worked out well, just let a local Pizza place know that at 11pm (or whenevr you want the food, giving them a half hour at least to make/deliver it) you’re going to be placing an order for pizza for a wedding and it will be between X and Y number of party sized pizzas, you will finalize on the night.

I don’t think you’ll have a ton of people staying out really late for a weekday wedding, so I think this would be an unnecessary expense.

Have snacks for the wedding party, and anyone who might be sticking around.  But if I were a guest, I’d skip it.  I have to wake up the next day to go to work at 5:00 AM.  I turn into a pumpkin at 9…

@worriedconfusedbride:  What time are you planning on your wedding ending? Also, what weeknight? Is it a thursday and do you know if people are planning on taking Friday off? That could change things a little.

I tend to “stay up late” on weeknights, but it is only until 11:45pm. Given I want to be in bed by then, I would probably leave the wedding by 10:30pm and I don’t like to eat after 9:30pm. So I may not be helpful here.

Our wedding is on a Thursday night and almost 100% of our guests are taking off the next day or going into work late. They will all be staying at the hotel where our event is taking place. In this case, we will be offering late night snacks. If you don’t think people are taking off the next day and will be leaving early to get home to sleep for work then I wouldn’t bother with it.

@worriedconfusedbride:  Hmm, given it’s a weeknight, I wouldn’t expect very many people to stay anywhere close to 2am. I would guess most people would start leaving around 10:30 or 11pm at the latest.

I live the idea about ordering pizza or just for the wedding party.

@worriedconfusedbride:  How much is the late night option they provide? Can it just be sandwhiches or something simple/cheap?

If its too pricey (IMO over $5 a head) then skip it, as people shouldn’t need it that badly, but if its important to you then I wouldn’t care about the cost and go with what they’ll do regardless.
