My fiance and I attended a wedding this past July and I just found out a gift was never sent. I usually take care of the gift if the wedding is one of my friends and vice versa for him. I found out last night that he just blanked and never sent one. We didn’t even send a card. So if we send one now do we mention anything about it being “late”?

You have up to a year to send the couple a gift, so no, you don’t have to say anything. You’re fine. 🙂

According to my mom and a lot of books, you have up to a year to send a wedding gift. I guess you are still in the acceptable time bracket!

Although I tend to be late gifter myself, I was a little surprised at the number of people who did not give us gifts or even a card. If they choose not to give a gift that’s fine, but I would be THRILLED to receive a gift in the mail, today or 6 months from now. I don’t think any ‘excuse’ is necessary.
